to get it above the BUIS and make it easy to detach, the rings that came with the scope are very low so it really does place it better for me. It is a heavy scope and I don't plan on using it too much longer on that gun. When I finally get around to buying a bolt action I think I'll use that scope on it. If I am getting an SBR that I plan on styling as a MK18, should I get a 10.5" barrel, since it will always run fine with suppression backpressure, or should I get an 11.5 so that it will function better if I am running it unsuppressed.

Well a .30 can isn't going to help you suppress .45... and the hybrid suppressors seem to compromise on too many areas to be worth it (wait for the second gen of hybrids, they will be the ones to get).

If I were you, i'd get the best you can get right now. If that's a 5.56 can, then do it. Don't buy something on the premise of "I might get .300 blk later". You might or you might not, then you're left with a more expensive can than you needed to get that doesn't suppress 5.56 as well as a dedicated can would.

If your FORM 4 is not PENDING by July 13, then you are boned without fingerprints/photos. Which means that if you are buying from an out of state supplier, your SOT must have the suppressor in their hands with enough time to submit the form 4 so that it is pending in the ATF's system before the deadline.

My Form 4 was submitted Feb 7, it was not pending until Feb 22. If you are expecting your form 4 to go pending before 30 days after mailing, you are gambling.
