Post your cans and talk about cans, or almonds
Anyone exited for the Wolverine PBS-1?
Expected release date?
Anyone know if they'll make them in 7n6?

I've got a TI-rant 45 in NFA jail now. Wanted an Octane but couldn't find one in stock. Eventually I think I will get a dedicated 9mm can, will probably get the octane 9 in that case.

Going to get a threaded barrel for my SIG 1911 as a host. I'd also like to get one of those CZ P01 tacticals, if they'd make it in black instead of grey, as a host.

Wouldn't a supressed 7n6 still be very loud/wouldn't a low velocity 5.45 be better than military 5.45 for a can?
>>
>>30086109
doesnt really matter if both are supersonic

with subsonic ammo it would make a good difference
>>
Have an omega in possession, and an Octane 45 in NFA jail.

>>30086109
Any supersonic round (particularly full power rifle rounds) are really loud. I still wear ear pro with my Omega on 5.56 or .308. Though 300blk 220gr is fun shenanigans.

>>30085667
After seeing the difference in db reduction, I don't see a point in getting anything other than a serviceable .45 pistol can. They can do .22lr and 9mm really good.

Do i need to buy there adapter or can i get one from hone depo?

Thanks /k
>>
I posted this in the QTDDTOT but I figure I'd post here as well. I need an adapter because I've got funky threads, and I don't know if shoulderless adapters are good. It seems like tightening it would be difficult, does anyone have experience with them?

Euhm, you get a suppressor for your pistol inside the roni system, not for the roni system itself...

It's still just a pistol mounted in a frame.

So what makes the Wolverine PBS-1 any better as an AK suppressor?

Everyone I talk to tells me that AKs are not particularly suitable for suppressing, as they are still quite loud compared to a suppressed AR. Also, I'm told they are particularly prone to baffle strikes.

Is this going to be any different?

That's pretty much the one to get, in my opinion. I love mine.
>>
>>30091529
I'm not sure how loud the action is to close, combined with the gasses being released. I believe AKs are said to have the bore and the outside diameter of the barrel (or existing threads) not concentric. Which could lead to baffle strikes.

Didn't see this thread up, migrating.

So after watching MAC's latest shill video I'm finally finding myself wanting to pick up a dedicated 9mm can before 41P/F..

I've been out of the loop for a few years and now everyone and their mother makes them, what'd be the best option for one?

Best performance to size/weight ratio is most important, but a quick detach option (swappable quick detach and direct thread mounts maybe?) is also a huge plus.

Also, DEDICATED 9mm can. I already have 45s.
>>
>>30091988
Too bad you won't beat 41F. Atf is backed up over 8 weeks. That means even though you get your serial, and paperwork sent in, there is a huge chance that the ATF doesn't have your serial input into their system. Seen a "return without action" at my shop yesterday. "Serial not found"
>>
>>30092109
Maybe, maybe not. There's an entire month left and you only need to get into the system. One that I submitted via paper form two weeks ago was processed a few days ago.
>>
>>30091988

>>
>>30091355
I should have bought an omega,,, instead waiting on specwar 556....
>>
>>30092123
The one that got returned was filed March 9th. Hoping it was the idiot agent, and not across the board. I have a Crux 556 Saxon that I am about to send paperwork in. Fingers crossed.
>>
>>30092123
Just because you're check cashed doesn't mean your serial is in their system. It took months for the forms that got rejected to come back. Dude is going to be pissed lol.

Local NFA guy is selling an Octane 9HD for $900 including tax.

How badly would I be getting raped?
>>
>>30086201

Don't shoot 22lr through non-servicable cans. Sure, you can use the dip to clean them, but that shit is extremely awful. Picture the dip from Roger Rabbit, except real-world, and instead of melting you, it gives you lead poisoning quicker than anything else on the planet.

I hate shooting anything without a can these days. Maybe I'm a wuss, or maybe it's all the metal shows I've been to, but I try to protect what's left of my EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>
>>30090869
None. Aks suppress poorly.

You'll get a few db, sure, but they're really not great for that.
>>
>>30091786

That's less of a factor than the fact that they suppress poorly.

5.45 through a 30cal can. No risk of baffle strike. It'll just beat the shit out of the AK.
>>
>>30093674
Yeah, that's why I'm getting the Octane.

>>30093576
That's a decent price. I just bought my octane 45 for that price. I don't know why you'd do a 9 over a 45 though.
>>
>>30093768
>I don't know why you'd do a 9 over a 45 though
Length. Weight. Best performance with 9mm.
>>
>>30093809
True. I guess versatility is *ahem* trump for me. That's why I went with a 30 cal even though it sits on a 5.56 a lot of the time.
>>
>>30093768

22lr is still going to suppress poorly through the octane.
>>
>>30093768

I bought my 9mm suppressors because I have multiple 9mm pistols and SBRs and no guns in .45 except the integral I'm building.
>>
>>30093908
That's how I started too. One 45 pistol can and two 30cal rifle cans later, it's time to specialize.
>>
>>30091988
Here.
Ordered the Octane 9. Using it mostly on a CZ75, Evo 3 SBR, and Sub2000 with that rad ass folding optic mount.

Kinda wanted the Omega 9k because it looks hella good on a carbine, but it's just not a good choice for pistols too. That, and it's not as quiet.
>>
>>30092333
>>30092284
>>30092270

How good is that can? I was thinking of slapping one on my AR once I get her. I don't really like suppressors since they have way more cons than pros, but no reason not to have one.
>>
>>30094963
>since they have way more cons than pros
Such as?
>>
>>30095207

I was having trouble finding any pros myself, but the reduced sound of the report can be counted as a pro. They also slightly increase muzzle velocity, but that's really negligible.
>>
Can anyone recommend a good 7.62 suppressor? I'd be using it a WASR-10 and an AR-15. I'd prefer one under $800 with stamp.
>>
>>30095207

Guessing:

Backpressure
Increased bolt speed
Some increased wear
Gas in your face
Point of impact shift
Heat mirage
Muzzle weight
Extra length

A lot of those can be corrected or compensated for, but they exist.
>>
>>30095235
Pony up for an Omega. NFA shit is stuck on you for life and is not something you should cheap out on.
>>
>>30095235
I would not put any high dollar can on a WASR.
>>
>>30094963

It's pretty good, I've only run factory ammo through it but it does a pretty good job. It's very low maintenance, just spray gun oil down it when you finish and the next time you fire it all the crap comes flying out. It noticeable tightened up my groups on the 14.5 inch barrel.
>>
>>30095531
Why so? Everything on her is solid and the threads are concentric to the bore. Seems good to go to me.

>>30095247
Thanks for the suggestion. Seems like a really nice can. Maybe I could save up a few more shekels.
>>
>>30095236
How do you mitigate gas in the face?
Do pistol cans give you gas in the face even though you hold a pistol far away from you?
>>
>>30095668
>the threads are concentric to the bore
How have you checked this? I use a very specific tool to do this. 90% of WASR's are not concentric. Also the bolt noise makes suppressing a AK almost worthless.
>>
>>30095759
Took it to my gunsmith to check the concentricity and he says it's good to go. Also, I'm suppressing it mainly for hunting so I'm really just going for hearing safe. I don't plan on doing any l33t oper8ing, so it doesn't need to be super quiet.
>>
>>30093694
>£300
Would it be better with a custom gas tube that leaks less gas?
>>
>>30084783

One man's very expensive lie to the ATF so that he can build a personal collection of post samples.
>>
>>30087958

I don't even know how it performs, but I see KAC on it and I'm already thinking it'll cost at least $2000 more than everything else.
>>

>>
>>30091988

>before 41P/F

What's going on with the changes to how things are handled? I assume it adds additional steps to those who used a trust to bypass the CLEO signoff and photo/fingerprint requirements, but what about someone who doesn't have a trust? I'm not going to get one now, obviously, because seeing as I have nobody I want to leave my shit to when I die and I still have to submit fingerprints and photos a trust is basically useless.

Have they clarified what they want in a notification letter? Is there a specific form letter they have provided we can fill out or can I literally write "hey I got a hush stick for my gun just so you know" on a piece of paper and mail it in?
