It's actually a pretty good knife and the build quality is far better than most other bayonets. Does the job of a "modern" bayonet better, which is to be a knife you can also mount on a rifle. Most bayonets are pretty crappy knifes.

Bought the okc to mount on my AR15a4. I was surprised at the quality. Part of the back is sharpened and I like the serration style.
Not wild about the sheath's retention system. It's VERY wide (I assume to fit a trainer) and has a leaf spring to keep it in. Works fine though. I do like the built in ceramic sharpener.

DESU, the M7 is the most "true" bayonet for AR pattern rifles, being a direct descendant of the M4 bayonet for the M1 carbine. In my mind, that makes it the best bayonet and fighting knife (the M4 being derivative of the M3 fighting knife). However, the OKC-3S is a much better field knife than the M7. I also prefer the OKC to the M9 bayonet for field performance, as I find the M9 needlessly bulky, heavy and poorly balanced in most situations. The only advantage I see to the M9 is the wire cutter, which justifies keeping it in my truck, but not on my belt.

Also, I wish they made the OKC in black. I've never liked coyote tan.

In Afghanistan, the driver ran over a pile of c-wire and it got wrapped around the axle. The TC tried using bolt cutters, but that shit doesn't work on thin wire and he looked like an idiot.
