Man this pistol is so try-hard. I'm sure it's good but, if it offered a real upgrade to the lineage then it should be done to the entire fleet. The fact that it isn't creates the perception of a brand that is just milking special edition "upgrade" packages on products that they could manufacture to a higher standard. There's a reason why you don't see 50 variations of guns like the VP9.

My EDC. Put over 1000 rounds thru it last year. Shoots so good. Have played with the Legion. Its nice but there is nothing that makes it run better then the 229R.

Yes there is branding but what matters is what you get for the difference in cost vs. standard model and is that worth it?

Only thing that bothers me with the legion is the long external extractor over the short extractor and the P226 coming with 15rd mags instead of 18rd ones. I'll probably get a 229 legion as my next sig, that or a nickel 228.

Maybe you have no experience shooting. The curved outer edges of the x-ray three sights naturally draw your eye to the center front post but still give an easy read of equal height, equal light. The front dot is also larger and high-vis green. They're fantastic sights.

Scroll down for the table. This guy took a west german p226 and made it as close to a legion as possible. Only things he didn't get were the undercuts, beavertail, finish, and checkering. If you want to upgrade the short reset kit is ~50 bucks, and the nicer trigger is 62.50 from Gray Guns.

Sig's X-Ray sights are basically manufacturer clones of Trijicon HDs with green instead of yellow/orange, and I've heard nothing but good about either.
