Tasers dont work at distances reliably (i.e over 25 feet) , if you shoot your taser at a man at a full sprint and one of the prongs was to miss or not penetrate then you are unlikely to be able to go to your lethal option in sufficient time to prevent your skull getting filled in with machete.

Non lethal options have their place, not when being directly charged though. Plenty good for immobilising them when they are stationary or have their back to you though.

Was once driving through Indianapolis to get to a friend's place in the town over. It was 1 in the morning and I had been driving for hours. I took a kinda shitty Street and had to stop because some nogs were in the road. This was a mistake.

One walks up and pounds on the driver side window, yelling at me to get out or else.

I freak out, and ignoring all thoughts to reason with the guy, pull my cc and shoot him twice in the head through the glass.

He drops, his buddies scream and scatter, and I peel out like a bat out of hell. I drive to my friend's place, and say a truck kicked gravel into a window, breaking it. I stopped being shook up about a week later.

I don't feel bad that the fucker is dead, no. He obviously had intention to rob me and maybe kill me. But shooting another man is a weird, none too pleasant feeling.

I know this is bait, but any experienced shooter will tell you that shooting for anything except center mass, even at close range, is fucking difficult.

You don't shoot to maim, wound, incapacitate or even kill. You shoot to stop the threat someone poses, and if you end up killing them in the process, there's not a lot you could have done to prevent it.

Also, shooting someone in the femoral artery is probably gonna kill them through blood loss anyway, so someone that says shooting a guy in the legs won't kill him clearly doesn't know what they're talking about.

Time absolutely slows down in a crisis. I still remember that feeling in my stomach, like someone injected a buch of battery acid into my solarplexus. I'm not sure what I did then but apparently I tried to swerve out of the way cause I ended up slamming into a telephone pole or utility pole or some shit on the side of the road.

Guy I hit was DOA, apparently his skull hit the pavement and cracked like an egg. Called the police and after they were done inspecting the intersection they took me to jail, then released me the following day, nothing on my record. They deduced that since I wasn't speeding, and given the fact that for some reason there were no headlights on that road and it was pretty much a blind intersection and I wasn't drunk, they let me off. There was a stop sign, but it was pretty much invisible at that point in the night.

Feels weird man.

I never found out his name or who he was but I think it's better that way. At least I don't have to remember a face I killed, albeit accidentally.

I was hired by a friend to keep tabs on his gf while she had an internship with a local newstation. She was frequently in Brooklyn at early hours of the morning due to an on going news story. I was able to follow her around for a month with out being made by her or any nogs. (Dark skinned Italian don't bother asking if this was mob affiliated you know your answer).
The last night of the job I'm watching her get in the news van and pull off site. It's 3am and my job is done.
I had to walk a couple of blocks to get to my car which was in an associate's driveway on the edge of this certain neighborhood. I made it two blocks when I ran into a couple of men on a porch. Naturally I went to the other side of the street. I needed to avoid conflict. When I cought their eye they immediately knew I wasn't from around there.

i shot a man through the throat. i was coming up some stairs as he stood on the floor above me. he just dropped, instantly dead. probably a few others indirectly or unconfirmed but this one sticks with me. i feel anxiety going up stairs in similar lighting or of similar design, i have dreams about it a lot and the person i killed. i remember his face/. with that said, these thoughts doesn't really twist my mood and dominate my thoughts anymore and i'm comfortable with what i did.
