When I was in Afghanistan I collected a few leaflets that were air dropped. They were pretty gory.

Basically skull and crossbones with graphic images of blown up bodies. They basically said "help the Taliban and this will be your fate"

Leaflets are different than what you produce for the population back home. Even immediately after 9/11 the government didn't roll out posters with Osama Bin Laden that said "TOWEL HEAD?? UR FUCKIN' DEAD." or anything.

Pretty much the only dig directly at OBL in the media that I can remember is that South Park episode, whereas using Hitler as the bad guy in even silly situations was quite common in the 40s. He basically became a standin for Satan as the stock villain for a while.

the Serbs did not "shoot down" a B-2. One was damaged by two SAMs that were part of a fuck ton of SAMs they put up to try and down them. The plane still made it to a divert airstrip in Croatia.

Because they were on the eastern front, military equipment is standardized and the German uniforms that look like that were used by the Gestapo, the Navy or as dress uniforms.

An SS officer isn't going to be executing dissidents in a dress uniform.

They found a good picture and decided, hey let's label it a holocaust picture because out of the 80 million lives lost in WWII those are the lives that we're supposed to be really outraged about whereas no one gives a shit about a few random Yugoslav dissidents getting wasted by Tito's boys.....there lives don't further the narrative so they don't matter.
