They try to nickel and dime you at literally every turn. Went in to get a iShit 6 and because I've been off the contract for a year my monthly bill went down
To upgrade to another phone there is a 2 year contract. With that contract my price goes up. So "thanks for commuting to us for 2 years, now fork over more money each month than you were when you could have left"
Fucking Jews.
>>29872786
Get a KAC rear
this is embarassing
>>29872759
It looks like this now. Bought the B5 for a different rifle though then changed my mind, which is why it's a weird color.

What's your opinion of the EMR v1?
Why not the v2?
Pb what color iShit phone should I get, white gold or black?

But fuck their nickel and diming bullshit
Also witcher anon my wife said she likes your AK with the wood furniture
>>29872831
white gold is for women and niggers. mine is gray and black iirc
>>29872840
true. im not much a gearqueer so dont gotta worry about it. i do want a pc in atacs fg and when i went into the gear thread i started some major shit flinging about camo lmao

>>29872831
>What's your opinion of the EMR v1?
It's light, feels sturdy, comfortable to hold, and inexpensive. Not the prettiest though.
>Why not the v2?
I don't think it existed when I bought mine. Either that or it was announced but not out yet.
>>29872835
>better/10
The MFT is light and cheap but not shitty, but it definitely got put on a lot of shit that it didn't make sense for, including that rifle. Also, it's bad for shooting from a bench or bipod or something where it's kind of nice to pull the stock into your shoulder with your off hand.
>>29872880
>upon which restart 127 updates needed
kek
>>29872898
know of any PCs in atacs fg?
So i'm getting ready to start gathering parts for a 300 BLK pistol. I've pretty much got everything i'm going to get all picked out.
-8" barrel
-Rousch Sports muzzle device
-DD clamp on low pro gas block
-Spikes charging handle and gas tube
-Anderson upper if Aero ones aren't back in stock when i order
-PSA bcg
-Spikes lower
-PSA moe lower parts kit
-Midwest industries buffer assembly
-Sig arm brace until i decide to sbr it
Only thing i'm still undecided about is a handguard. I'm looking for a 7-8 inch handguard to get. I considered a Rousch Sports handguard, but the lack of tabs to keep it from rotating bothers me, although I really like the small inner diameter. I would get a DD Slim rail if they made 7 inch ones.
So does anyone have any recommendations? I don't mind spending money on good rails, but the cheaper the better.
Pic kinda related.

Also, I thought flat triggers were stupid until I shot a flat and curved Apex trigger back to back and liked the flat one a lot more. Haven't tried one on a rifle yet.

Ruger ar15 and M&P sport 2 are both good rifles. I think you can find both for around 600-700 bucks or so. You can also buy a complete upper and lower from psa for around 500 bucks.

water/wastewater, hvac, plumbing and welding are goat trades. im telling you man you can easily get a laid back gubmint job in water
>>29873120
Selling cars, insurance, houses, etc can suck at first, but once you get the hang of it can pay off.
Trades are also good. Electricians and welders always are in demand
Is it stupid to Form 1 a lower that I don't really intend to use as an SBR? It would be nice to be able to not have to wait if I decide to throw a different upper on it, and it'd be nice to have it done before I have to fuck around with fingerprints with my trust. I already have one SBR.

>>29873562

>>29873599
The Magpul MS4. I like it so much I'm going to get another one.
Couldn't start out more basic. I think the only parts from this Armalite M15A2 carbine that survived the transition to my current carbine are the barrel, the FSB, the FCG, the buffer tube assembly, the handguard retainer, the gas tube, the flash hider, and the delta ring assembly. Everything else has been swapped out at least once.
>>29873601
Hopefully soon, possibly next pay check along with magy furniture and a buffer tube

I had a blast putting together my lower earlier, was easier then I thought too
I live in NJ.
I want a new upper.
Currently have rifle length upper with a2 stock. Upper is carry handle with a2 front sight.
I want something light and pointable that I can eventually build a new lower with carbine buffer for.
What is your recommendation? I want something that won't break the bank.
I find keymod to be disgustingly hideous despite being comfortable.
Shorter the better but it seems like 14.5 is only made by a couple upper companies and most have pinned flash hiders which I can't have due to said laws.
>>29873733
yeah its p fun. putting together a lower and upper then shooting it was a cool feeling for me

The first two yes, the latter two are subjective but I've grown to like the looks of the A1 better and the shorter stock / A1 grip / triangular HG suit me better as well.

>>29874853
Your rifle is luminescently green.
>>29874858
I've thought about it. It's pretty good in person and I'm afraid of fucking it up at this point.
I need a flip up rear sight and I would prefer metal, I also want to keep it as cheap as possible without it being shit, what do you guys recommend?
So Primary Arms makes high quality Aimpoint knockoffs that are 90% as good as actual Aimpoints, but does anyone do this for EOTech? Is the holosight tech copyrighted or something?
>>29874987
That laser shit is a lot harder to knock off.
Holosun does make a model with a knockoff of the Eotech reticle though, and they are almost identical RDS as Primary Arms sells.

My guess is texting and driving. A couple months ago a girl cross the center line out front and was killed on impact. She was probably texting too, even though no statement was ever released.
My fucking ditch has a higher kill count than me ;_;
Interesting you mentioned ethnicity though because we have a fuckload of Somolians in the Columbus area and most of them are unlicensed with no insurance, if one hits you you're basically fucked.

I'm still pissed about what happened to a friend of mine back in December.
The TL;DR is that he got hit on his motorcycle and the guy bailed out, the police haven't found him yet.
Meanwhile Rob spent 3 weeks in a coma before they pulled the plug on him.
If I knew who did it I honestly would have put a bullet in his skull and burned his body in his car. He's probably taken the car to a crooked body shop or had it chopped, and moved to another state by now.

I hadn't talked to him since June because I left for basic training in July, I had just gotten back and figured I would see him soon when a bunch of us got together. He actually sent me a message the day I got to basic training, and when I finally got my phone back I thought it would be weird to respond to it that late.
I still cry about it a lot. He was a really good guy. Made it through Iraq with a purple heart.

Uncircumcised ARs? I take it you are referring to full length handguards? Some people just like them because of how they look or how they feel. They also serve a practical purpose in barrier shooting, giving you more flexibility in how you position the rifle without having to rest your bare barrel on shit. Beyond that, they allow you to get your light closer to the end of the barrel and reduce barrel shadow.
>>29875901
It went towards the discount magpul furniture

Planning on building my first AR this year. I hear good things about Spike's lowers, but I'm not sure what to look at for the rest of the rifle. I grant an exception to SBRs with flaming pigs under the handguard. Those are pretty cool. Warsport-style handguards on the other hand just seem needlessly long and heavy, and for what? An extra inch of sight radius?

Wherabouts are you in AK?
Wandering a few miles into empty wildlands sounds like a wet dream.
Only place I can shoot is Oregon logging land or occasionally private land.

Where the premium ARs at, senpai? All I see is basic shit.
I can literally go right now and pick uppers just like that from BCM for $600-ish and identical complete lowers on PSA for $190.
The rail came in!:)
>>29878477
>>29878409
Oh, and before you start sperging out about, yes, I see that HSNM and yes, it's the only remotely remarkable part you own and it's utterly wasted on the rifle it's sitting in.

Upper mid tier != premium.
This is like you called Colt premium.
>Oh right, you think that luxury is the same as premium.
It is, fagtron. Premium = exlusive, luxury.
>>29878512
Urgh. They aren't premium, even I can afford DD in France and I have a billet AR.
>>29878445
Just kidding man, it looks great.

jesus you sure are a faggot
>>29878537
No sadly, I can't afford one right now. I do want one though. Does the buffer thing go with any BCG or just theirs?
>>29878545
Troy makes a standard version that will work with any bcg or a shorter version that comes with the custom bcg/ buffer in the picture.
>>29878535
Premium is anything above stock.
ex: m4 grip - not premium. but bcm gunfighter grip - premium.
>>29878560
Sweet, I might have to get one this summer
>>29878563
Premium - adjective. The definition of premium is something or someone of greater or superior quality. An example of premium used as an adjective is the phrase premium gasoline which means a gasoline with a higher octane rating.
>>29874055
A couple options really. If you want something that looks the part, you'll track down new parts made to retro specs & finishes. If you want something closer, you'll track down a demilled A1 parts kit. If you want almost the exact, you can buy a vintage AR. Last but not least, you can say "fuck it", buy an A2-style rifle, and replace the furniture (triangular handguard, A1 grip, & A1 buttstock).
Reposting from QTD thread.
I want a lower mount for my T1/H1. Not a cowitness, not a 1/3 cowitness, not a directly-on-the-rail, but just, like, a medium I guess. I've heard they're the best for the RDB cheekweld.
I don't know dick about mounts, what should I look for? All that comes up when I look for medium mounts is airshit crap.
>>29878575
you are the only person who gives a fuck, please stop so we can go back to circle jerking over the same pictures we posted last thread.
>>29878565
From what I can so far it's pretty solid. I'm putting it on a .300 BLK SBR so we'll see how it holds up.
>>29878605
That's what I had planned on for a future build
>>29878512
Honestly I don't understand why you attribute so much importance to 80% lowers unless you're full on post-purchase rationalization mode or just straight out trolling (bet you are).
Also I own a DD myself and it's nothing premium, just an assortment of quality milspec parts with a good FF rail.
>>29878563
>Premium is anything above stock.
Oh, I get it now. It's the Armslist definition of "premium", AKA "buy my PREMIUM WASR decked out in Tapco furniture, with an OLight on a barrel clamp and a Tasco red dot."
>>29878601
Maybe a low mount with the low spacer?
http://www.aimpoint.com/product/micro-spacer-low/
>>29878617
>with a good FF rail.
FF rails are by definition are premium. and no, I'm not trolling. 80% lowers are better than standard because they dont have hideous rollmarks, and if you want you can design your own rollmark and make it truly personal. But whatever, I guess they AR-15 crowd doesn't understand the concept of making a gun personal to you.... /s
But fine I'll be quiet. If you will say one thing.

i only have match ammo so i'm gonna wait until 6pm when the range is empty and the wind is calm, so i can zero the 14.5 with the can on.

>>29873030
I'm going to re-ask this but I'm not a poorfag.
I'm looking to get an AR before the election (preferably ASAP because I'm sure everyone else is thinking the same damn thing).
Tbh I don't know shit about dick about guns but from the reading I've done an AR with a gas piston seems like a good investment over a direct gas impingement one.
Is that true or have I fallen for a meme? What gun should I get, or is there a /k/ recommended good parts list for building an AR?
>>29878686
Budget?
>>29874174
This picture is funny because it's so expensive but it looks like absolute shit.
Would not operate with.
>>29878690
I'm really not sure. I've always been of the mindset that I'd rather buy something the right way the first time and not regret buying a piece of shit that I have to replace with a good version anyway.
I'm going to finish paying off my student loans in a week or so so that will leave me with only a few grand in the bank I'd like to keep there for emergencies, but I have a good enough job that I can replace that fairly quickly.
Is there a sweet spot you hit where you're just going to start seeing diminishing returns?
>>29878686
>have I fallen for a meme
You have. Piston ARs are the memest of memes and are a very bad investment since you pay out of your ass for the special snowflake system but and the payment won't carry over to resell value (or any noticeable improvement to the gun's operation, really), all you get for your money are expensive spare parts, lower parts life and the ever-present threat that the company will go under or stop all support for the particular system.
Buy a BCM complete middy upper, preferably with a FF rail, and a PSA complete blem lower with the furniture of your choosing. Instant quality sub-$800 AR.
>>29878719
The differences between DI and Piston aren't as big of a deal as you've probably read. Really it comes down to preference. Going to suppress? Piston. Want a slightly cleaner gun? Piston. Want less points of failure? DI. Want a gun you can from scratch easier? DI.
DI is a better choice if you don't want to deal with spare parts issues and other shit that may come up. Unless you can afford a 416 civilian, I wouldn't bother.
It would be much more fun (and cheaper) to build your own anyways, that way you have exactly what you want.
>>29878686
Sig mcx desu
>>29878686
Pistons are a meme assemble a PSA rifle kit.
>>29878736
Yeah, I guess that makes sense. From what I'd seen the advantages of it were having to clean it less often, which really only matters in a SHTF scenario (which is what I'm really buying it for desu because if Hillary gets in we're fucked gun-rights wise). But if it makes it more likely to break/harder to repair that pretty much erases that advantage.
>>29878754
Reliability is my #1 priority with it. I'd like to go shooting with it at a range but I'm not even sure how many ranges there are in my area that allow rifles. I've been too busy lately to really look into it, although that will change soon.
And while I don't want to go super cheap and buy crap, cheaper is better because I can take whatever the savings are and turn them into ammo. I've shot plenty of shotguns, bolt actions and pistols before but never an AR and I'd like to get gud with it.
>>29878756
I'll look into it.
>>29878769
It looks like there are a million options on that site, and I have no idea which one is the best for me. I have no problem building my own, but unlike building a pc I have no idea what is good and what is a meme as far as ARs go.
>>29878812
>having to clean it less often, which really only matters in a SHTF scenario
Unless you're going to shoot 5-10k rounds out of your AR without relubing in said SHTF scenario, it doesn't really matter even then.
>>29878812
You can either get a complete upper or build one. For completes check out BCM for quality and savings. If you wanna build you own a BCM stripped upper, barrel, and gas assembly is all you need. From there you can get a rail you like, BCG, and charging handle.
For the lower, just go to your LGS, get a lower with a roll mark you like, an LPK, a buffer assembly, and then a grip and stock you like, but you can also order those two online.
>>29878812
Ok get an 2 80% lowers, a PSA upper and a nice upper. bury the PSA build with a few hundred rounds in some sealed pvc pipe and use the nice one. Ta da, you have out performed the average tinfoil nutcase.
>>29878841
I plan on taking good care of it, cleaning it regularly, etc. I mainly want to get something I can buy soon, a few replacement parts, train with it then put it away except for the occasional range trips after that in case the SCOTUS gets packed with liberals who want to legislate from the bench and ban guns.
So I guess the piston is a meme and I'll forget about it then.
>>29878846
I'll look into all that in the coming days, thanks. Once I take my licensing exam in a few days I'll have nothing to do but read /k/ and look into all this anyway.
>>29878854
Sounds like a good idea actually. I currently rent an apartment so I don't own any land but whenever I buy a house that'll be the first thing I do.

No, of course he doesn't. He pushes a company who builds rifles that cost more than Sionics because they have brand recognition. I'm not talking about resale value here, I'm talking about a rifle that will serve you well. I made a recommendation based on my personal experience with the firearms, which are nothing short of excellent. I made a recommendation which is the simple option, it comes complete with everything you need including ironsights. Daniel defense does not and it's going to cost you. After paying for an aftermarket NP3 coated BCG, ergo pistol grip, keymod rail section, etc. etc., you will find that you've spent the same amount of money and time on top of that. My point is, I recommend the rifles and, for the price, they are absolutely worth it.
No I do not work for them. That mom and pop operation can't afford shills.
