was shooting poly tip ammo and getting the can and barrel way too hot.
was shooting at 3 targets left to right and notice after i ran out of ammo that only the left(1st engaged)target had keyholing and strage impacts.
my theory is that, when i finish shooting the third target, the round was in the hot chamber long enough to begin to melt and that caused it to destabilize and hit the can.
i noticed a nick on the endcap but didn't see any real issues, a few months later i was randomly looking through the can and that's when i actually saw that the baffles were damaged.

Gotcha if you are looking for a tourniquet don't waste you money on a CAT. The windlass is plastic and once you torque down on it once it fucks up the windlass and I've seen them break. Spend your monies on a SOFT because the windlass is metal.

well we had the luxury of having an ambulance full of goodies, and when I was still working in the ER, we had everything you could ever dream of.

Bleeders were usually dealt with with TQ and copious pressure dressings - same as anyone really.

For penetrating trauma I've got multiple TQ, lots of dressings, some israelis, quick clot, bulky ABD, etc

3 or 4 needles + some hyfin seals are going to go in as well for pneumos, and then of course all the more benign stuff like alcohol pads, bacitracin, aspirin, shears, the works

might even toss in my face mask if someone decides to have a medical innawoods.

They sure do, I've been using shepherd's hooks for years. They work great on anything over 6" diameter, it has to be heavy enough not to bounce. The little ones will sometimes rock off the hook. This could probably be solved with a vise.

I can't see paying $150 for a stand when a $5 hook or two will do. The hooks never fall over.

They will. The little hooks will work fine too, with a heavy gong like your pic. I'm not gonna say "get little ones" because it'll save you $5, but I don't really see a reason for the big ones unless the little ones are square stock instead of round stock. My Home Depot and Lowes both switched to square stock shepherd's hooks, which are too big to fit in the holes in my 6" gongs. Good thing I bought a bunch last year.

You could either Velcro it to the foregrip, or to the side of your lower above the magwell. If your agency allows, it might be a good idea to change the foregrip to one that's not as rounded such as the Magpul rvg. I can pretty much configure it however I like so long as the armory gets all the issued parts back when I return the rifle.

I really like the KAC grip as it's what I've been using for nearly 10 years now. I tried one of those Magpul ramp-looking jobs awhile back and I couldn't get into it.

I used Velcro to attach one back in '08 or so but I felt it was too fat. I think I'm going to have a small elastic band made, it'll be slimmer.

The RVG is a vertical and it's a little "fatter" which would give you more real estate for the switch. If you like the KAC grip then stick with that. The rail mounted switches posted above are great, but you don't have a whole lot of real estate given your rail, I'm trying to imagine how it would work and it looks like it would be awkward. I think either electrical taping or velcroing the switch to the grip would be your best option
