There's something specifically about the uniforms, the solid color and naturally more low level of tactical gear that do the trick. I think any randomly picked outfit looks neater than majority of the outfits modern soldiers wear.

Pretty neat too. I prefer WWII uniforms because they are kind of an fusion between modern and napoleonic uniforms, you can see the influence of old but the lines of the future too. The development of uniforms is interesting as it also reflects the standards and norms of the warfare.
