Real operators made this movie
Actual live ammunition was used during the film
Also I think a couple of guys got shot and Netflix took it down when they heard what had happened.

Who said they filmed that scene in the US?

The pilots from 160th who were in gothic serpent flew in the movie. Fuck outta here with your "real operator" shit.

Red Dawn is pretty good, especially if you mentally masturbate to the idea of being a rebel/freedom fighter innawoods, which I know you do because you're on /k/.
>>
>>29796559
Not that anon, but at the very least the SEALs in the movie were active duty when it was made. Hell, that was a selling point for the movie.
>>
>>29795534
there are better but only a small handful, definitely watch it
>>
>>29795534

The movie is nothing compared to the book itself, people literally picking up fingers/arms and shoving them in pouches/pockets. The description of the Armor piercing ammo dragging clothes into the skinnies only for their drug infused bodies carrying on the fight... Read the book first then watch the video to get a grasp of the whole situation playing on in the movie and how truly sideways shit went.
>>
>>29797469
His point was that act of valor had real operators and implied black hawk down didn't

Black Hawk Down was sensationalized but they at least followed what actually happened. I got out just months before but my buddies in my old battalion (3/75) told me all about it. Some of them never even fired their weapons. But if you watch the movie and take it as gospel, you'd think that was impossible. And there's where the embellishment comes in.

Not OP, but strangely enough I knew a pretty /k/ kid who had never seen it. Come to find out his dad was in Mogadishu when all the shit went down and wouldn't watch it if you paid him.

I actually watch Elysium for that stuff, and dream of being Kruger, barbecuing in the open in some urban ghetto and shooting at the dindus when they get too close.

Sort of like "I Am Legend" but with even more niggers.

I went to school with Mike Durant's son. One time we went into a hippie bagel shop that had the wall's covered in time magazine covers, including this one. His face was of absolute disgust when he saw it and just walked out.

If you're gonna watch the movie read the book after, and also In the Company of Heroes.
Movie leaves out a lot of details on both sides and does little to explain the events before the start of the movie that turned the operation into a shitstorm.

They literally filmed it on their massive live fire training area, geez it's like you didn't even watch the movie
>>
Kilo Two Bravo, hands down awesome movie hits you hard.

I enjoyed Black Hawk Down but I prefur the books about it where it talks more about the down right shit storm it was and logistical nightmare rather than just the Hooah MURICA

ha ha . boring and lame. they spend the whole fuckign movie stuck in one place in a ravine. literally no action other than blowing themselves up.
nothing but a "muh feels" movie for women or hairless man-children

I dont know it said it was based on a real story, though i never read it or knew about it before watching the movie. so idk how it it holds true or not.
but it was pretty good i thought,. seemed pretty realistic.
a lot of engagements with the enemy, firefights and shit.
>>
>>29806002
Sean Bean actually lives through it, so there's that.
>>
>>29806014
>Sean Bean actually lives through it
is this like the only movie he actually lives through to the end?

For some reason i didn't like Sean Bean after seeing him in those Silent Hill movies. idk somehting about it just pissed me off.

But he was good in Bravo Two Zero. def a must watch movie IMHO.

> not recommending Pico x Coco x Chico

Weak. Operator Pico and Chico find an operator named Coco in a hideout under the subway. Lots of twists and turns but bothers in arms always come out in top in the middle and sometimes on the bottom
>>
>>29806132
Well, yes but he first movie show Picos operator training and develops his history of CQB ops.
PicxCocoxChico gets into more urban combat scenarios.
I think it's best for OP to watch them in the right order.
It's like how you should play STALKER SOC before STALKER COP
