Hey y'all, I'm the same anon who was working on a stock refinish two weeks ago. I put up a thread last time and it seemed to go over well, so feel free to chill and discuss whatever. Tonight I'm going to try and install some replacement parts on my shotgun
One last part before I take everything apart again.

Anyways, there's a raised bit on the spacer that prevents it from sitting properly. I'll have to have one of my friends file it down, I don't have the tools for that right now.
Here's the trigger assembly. Time to see how the new one fits.
I just got done refinishing the furniture on my Wasr 10 last weekend. Turned out a lot better than the shitty blonde wood it came with
Here it is held together with a slave pin and all lubed up. Time to see if it fits.

Damn, that turned out real well! Mine kept pretty much the same color because I used BLO, but it really brought out the grain of the wood.
Had to pop this guy back out because I didn't get it properly ligned up on the release lever. It's a pretty tight fit, too.
Well damn. I think the new trigger guard is catching the release mechanism. Time to see if I have a file around here.
Found another problem, the pin holes are *just* that far off. Looks like I may have to take it to a gunsmith after all. Sorry y'all, here I was hoping to have a cool thread up and running. I'm open to any suggestions to make it work though.

Still, the fact that you even tried to do it yourself is nice.

Thanks man, I was hoping I'd be able to say I did it all myself. Oh well. As long as I can get my shotgun working with the new parts I'll be satisfied.
Anyways, I got my TSRA card in the mail today and picked up my first hunting license as well. Any other texasfags know a good place to hunt squirrels/rabbits/coyotes near Tarrant county?
