Iran has ~5000 tanks. It would kill their economy if they're trying to replace them all at once. Worse, the tank isn't the only one that they need to replace. They could maintain numbers as well as somewhat improves quality and readiness of their armour. The plan is to buy about 200 new MBT (T-90S, though Iran also looking to for licensed production of chink Type 96 tank)

The turks stil uses their old tanks, the same goes to Taiwan, Japan, Chile, even worst Korea, and unlike Iran,they actually have modern tanks on their disposal)

yep, its a ZSU 57 gun mounted on a flatbed. I've gotten no info on if it has a radar, and the Iranians never claim it has radar, so I assume its just a ZSU-57 on a flat bed. It's supposed to be a platform that can engage both ground and air targets when needed.

It uses a separate radar system. Think like S-300 where the radar is on another truck. It can be slaved to a current or future radar system. It goes to a location where air or non armored defense is needed and use the radar that is stationed at the location.

It can link to both analogue and digital systems. And is supposedly stealthy against PGMs.

Small arms can't do shit, and meanwhile if they have any ROWS or even just a shitty coaxial pistol that takes a 20 fucking pesos a shot, its still better than you standing out there.

So in the idea that its meant as a tank IFV hybrid, its adequate.
The bar for that basically comes down to whether it can withstand a GPMG, if yes, its good enough.
Design better as your logistics can handle.

Well if you gave the turret a fire control radar and improved the traverse and rotation speed it wouldn't be obsolete anymore. Actually it would be terrifying, if you can hit something with 57mm you're guaranteed to fuck it up if not shoot it down entirely.

Slow rate of fire would be difficult to deal with though, but I imagine a battery of them would be scary as fuck.
