I haven't yet, but I know you need to do it like you're canning vegatables since it is so time consuming. Make a huge batch at once and can it and stock it in the pantry. I got a friend that makes it, he'll do like 5 gallons at a time then pressure can it in mason jars. When you want pho just heat it to boiling and you know the rest.

Bud, I fucking love my PA MD and actually passed up replacing it with an H1 in favor of getting a Colt scope for my A1 because, all things considered, it really wouldn't impact my shooting experience in any way whatsoever. I'll still say, without hesitation, that the MD-ADS is by far and away the best value optic RD on the market that will more than suffice for 99.9% of the situations civvies will put it through.

But I'm still not going to say my PA dot is as good as an Aimpoint.

MLok has marginally more different attachment points due to being able to bridge.

Keymod currently has more accessories available due to being open-source and license-free, meaning all the chinkshit companies that sell on Amazon and Ebay make Keymod stuff.

I gotta say I don't feel like it would be worth the heft for the lumen output of the Gen II. The Gen III however is a fucking spotlight, lights up my entire 100 yard range when I turn it on, it's probably good for another hundred yards beyond that. Excellent throw.

For what they are, I think they are excellent - built like tanks, with decent glass and excellent reticles (assuming ACSS.) Illumination is bright, though the eye relief leaves something to be desired.

I just am personally moving away from fixed power sights in general so my prism scope will be going on a 9mm build in favor of a variable optic. Doesn't mean I think it's trash, I just think time has passed it by.

Since when is EOTech sucking a may may? They suck, that's the straight dope.

Also, what's wrong with it being on the rail is the fact that it's got the chance to wander and lose zero when the rifle heats up (something EOTechs are already prone to) along with the fact that every time you take the handguard off for cleaning you've got to rezero it. You're also moving the center of gravity forward significantly by putting a fatass optic that far up.

Only, the instructions don't tell you that you must have it set at 3". That was only in there as a way to quantify the field of view. I don't think placement effects anything, but if you find something more solid than "they say", then so be it.

There are obviously better, equal and different. I originally intended to pretty immediately throw a Mark 4 on mine, but the VX-R Patroll has really impressed me. Light as fuck too. Think that retails for like $500 which would put you at the low end or under once you throw in the mount(s) of your choice.
