OK so I see this thread is on the right track, but I've got a request. Does anyone have like period pictures of or know the proper method for tying attachments to your rifle with 550 cord? I saw it a lot in Iraq and they all seemed to follow the same pattern for tying, was there actually training behind this or was it just common sense? Guy with an ACOG and he'd have 550 around it and lead forward and attached to his quad rail. I saw them with the inner strands removed and with the whole cord tying them on.

I mean I guess, M39's have been on the market for a long time tho. Classic has some of the shittiest ones that have been sold in years, pretty much the bottom of the barrel. That said you can still get lucky and get something good from them, but a lot of people have got fucked up rifles with cracked stocks, lots of rust, just not in the condition they paid for.
