It's okay, I tend to get really hot while hiking so I usually just open the jacked and let the cool air come in. The base of the suit is cotton canvas, so it breaths pretty well. The darker parts are sewn onto the base layer, and therefore reduces the breathability in those parts. I like the gorka in the rain, eventho the cotton kinda soaks up pretty easily. Anyways this isn't for a hot weather. I dunno which is the max temp, haven't tested this during summer.
I like the looks of this suit, I can use this hiking without looking like a military personel.

TL;DR it's rugged outdoor wear for harsh use, it doesn't compare to Gore-Tex, but it doesn't have to. for the 60 $ it's a really good purchase.

My BARS Gorka 3 has ripstop reinforcement, I think you just have the older version where mine the "3k" has EMR ripstop reinfornced areas. I have the original version as well and it isn't ripstop. I really like how it looks after being worn heavily, and the bright akward green starts fading to a more olive shade. hottest I've worn mine was around 70f. It's meant more for the mountains where it will be hot, but windy. It serves as a windbreaker fantastically.
