If you have that option, definitely take advantage of it. There's a ton of hype out there for various polymer handguns of any model, but truth is they're all copies of Glocks and are of similar tangible quality. Where Glock may have a better stock trigger, M&P has a price advantage and the Apex trigger kit, etc. etc. Pick the one that feels best in hand.

The wood is off a Rem 7600. The stocks are identical but the forends are not. The back of the forend doesn't wrap around the magazine well of the 7615 so you need to sand maybe 2-3mm off wood off and then it fits. The wood is nice in the sense that the forend is longer and with the cation closed it wraps around the mag well nicely.

Was a massive pain to track down a matching timber set, but was worth it.

"Own" 5, 1 on layaway too pick up early next month and the other in picking up this week from my FFL.

No rifles or shotguns yet, but feel like getting another pistol or two first. Have three revolvers(S&W model 13, model 49 and CDS) but only a shitty .25 pocket pistol and a S&W Stainless 5906 9mm.

Might see if I can buy my dads Beretta 70s, sexy little gun, shots great, but mags can be costly.

I wouldn't suggest dorms, sure you may meet a good friend or two but it's not worth it otherwise. The worst part is that even if you and your roommate are bff's you still have to share a bedroom sized room with somebody for a year and the lack of privacy sucks. Also all the bullshit that goes along with it such as all the stupid rules they have that apartments don't.

Yes, also don't let guns consume your life while you're in college. Branch out, live in the best spots to live and hang-out regardless of their firearms policy. Your guns will always be there on break. I go to college in Massachusetts, and though it sucks to be away from my guns (I keep them at my parents') the separation helps keep you from getting burned out on them.
