Buddy of mine had his ak knockoff stolen, and when it was recovered they had sawn off the stock and taken off the furniture before nigging it up with duct-tape. His bushnell had been hacksawed to make it look more like a COD scope and was completely useless.

He kept the rifle and repaired it. I'm surprised they hadn't decided to cut the barrels short and fuck the gas system beyond repair. Usually ar-15's are broken and anything that had 100's to 1000's of dollars dumped into it turn into an beater "thug speshul" that barely functions.
