Do they make remade modern Lugers? If not, why not? The originals are like $1200 right?

If you're going to shitpost polymer shit, at least have the slightest amount of decorum. This is one of like 2 and a half poly guns that don't look like ravaged asshole.
>>
>>29541937
They're needlessly complicated and have quite a few flaws that are better fixed by making a completely different gun. People want the original because >muh nazis and the last copies I remember hearing about cost about as much because of all the above.

I think that a used wheelgun with a little holster wear and patina looks the best. Most autos are nice, functional, but not beautiful.

pic related, smith model 10 from 1948-1952

19 looks better

Revolvers also look better stainless like the 66
>>
>>29542287
It's even better. I personally like the idea of a DA/SA striker gun (or hammer fired since that's my preference).
>>
>>29542453

i like blued, but yeah stainless is nice. this is just my first revolver, and i love it. shop owner bought it off a cop's wife when he died. he carried it from ~54 through retirement.

classic smith .357 is next. maybe i will be lucky and find a nice 19

I though so too, until I found out it's made of shitty airsoft material. It's a toy gun. Nothing more.

Not a fan of this look.
All pistols like the VP9, the PPQ, the XD, etc. have this really cheap plasic appearance despite geing decent guns.

This is why I like what Glock does with their polymer. They make a really simple looking design and it just works.

The Luger predates the Third Reich, and the Nazis replaced Lugers with the P.38.

>>
>>29545637
Is there a problem with this gun that no one talks about? I only hear how its underated and really good but there needs to be something that prevents its popularity than lack of Steyr marketing.
>>
>>29545656
>there needs to be something that prevents its popularity than lack of Steyr marketing

Some of the first imports had issues. Other than that, it's just a smaller competitor in a heavily saturated market.
>>
>>29545656
They had some problems with previous Gens, but they have them worked out, but you know how people have long memories. As far as marketing, I really don't understand why Steyr doesn't do more of it. They really are great guns, and it's a shame that more people don't give them a shot/know about them.

Fair enough thanks guys. Ill keep an eye out to fingerfuck one because I see them at nice prices around me.
>>
>>29545667
>minimal holster selection
>hard to find and very expensive mags
>basically no aftermarket
>NOS gen1s still on the market with no easy way to tell, so people are still having issues
They may be good pistols but they're still a bad choice.
>>
>>29543268
Ugly AF TBQH.
>>
>>29545630
At least have a bad dragon tab for the picture, man.
>>
>>29545712
Most of that goes back to marketing. More marketing, more pistols out there, aftermarket grows. As for telling previous gens, it's really easy actually.
>>
>>29542287
P99 has always looked a lot better to me personally

>>29542317
So eager to shitpost that you don't even check the gun
