It would make much more sense to make two layers, the top layer with a realistic clothed man, the bottom layer like OP's pic. When you're done shooting, you take the top layer away and look at how well you've really done.

Most ranges by me don't like anything resembling a human aside from b26s. No zombie humans, no anatomical, no pictures of people. They also don't like purposeful head shots. As close as I can get without someone getting pissy, aside from the b26, are the IPSC targets. Shits gay yo.

Yup. They want a 1 second pause between shots. Most only enforce it for faggotry. Double taps consistently will get you kicked out or banned.

Reason is far too many people can't shoot for shit and want to be a badass and dump a mag. That ends up with rounds through the ceiling, hitting the ground, or part of the structure and ricochetting. Same for no holster draw, too much liability when someone shoots themselves, another, or the facility.

This is in an anti-gun state that would love to shut down another range.

I don't know about your ranges but in ours the reason the don't want people doing head shots is because it causes a majority of people to shoot at such an angle to where it will go up into the baffles and or hit the hangers/wires for the target system.

I have 2 ranges near me. One is a 100y range and lets you shoot as fast as you want if you keep your shots under control, friendly ROs and good people.

The other is a 600y range, there's the no rapid fire rule which one of the ROs decided meaning firing quickly with a Mosin. That one range trip was full of bullshit.

The outdoor range I go to has a 2 second rule apparently. It's run by and mostly caters to fudds, but it's the only place where I can bring my nugget because everywhere else has rules about magnetic ammo. It's really made me prefer just going innawoods/innadesert when I'm away at college.

And in actual fact getting shot to the chest does not guarantee an immediate stop. The only thing that can do that is to sever the spinal cord or brain stem. Even after being shot in the heart you may still have the capability to fight for a good 30 seconds, which is more than enough time to kill someone.
