surplus stores often have good deals on wooden q-tips, which are great for gun cleaning. I got like 100 for 50 cents.

also, get one of those pocket fresnel lenses. Those fuckers can light a fire pretty damn quick. awesome survival item. also about fiddy cents.

maybe get an ammo can? that'll be around $20. make sure you inspect the seal, though.

they also usually sell 'lifeboat rations', which are high calorie and pretty tasty emergency food bars, which come wrapped in thick foil. Good for ~25 years or something like that. bout ten bucks.

maybe some paracord? you can make some sweet boot laces out of it, among a million other uses.
