Picked up this Over Under at a local gun show today for about 150 with a bit of ammo. Pretty happy with it but it's a little stiff. Any way to loosen up the (what I assume) hinge?
To head off the inevitable other questions, what barrel length?
>>29470979
gun oil.
>>29471000
Doesn't look under 16.5 inches from the pictures. Good question, though... OP may have stumbled upon a wild ATF sting, although if he did I'm sure his ass would have already been grass.
>>29471012
Pretty sure it 18" for a shotgun & 16" for a rifle
>>29470979
Just grease the hinge and work it a lot- that's about the simplest way. You're also fighting against the springs which tend to be fairly stiff at first.
>>29471000
Nice trips. 20.5 inches
>>29471012
This is the worst post I've ever seen on /k/.
>>29471094
I try my best to ruin this board for everyone
>I'll give you a hint; I'm not using my trip right now
I lied, 21 inches
>>29470979
Its not the hinges making it stiff its the hammers. Your o/u appears to have internal hammers which are cocking as you open the action.
Theres no way to change this. If youd like more info Hickock45 has a video related to explain.

so you admit that you're tommy retard
>>29471140
Which one?
>>29470979
Trigger needs work. Barrel seem is worse than it looks but boy does it ever feel good to shoot.
>>29471292
I'd buy one but i have a few issues with them. I dont't like the loaded chamber indicator, the finish between the barrel and fame are two different tones, nobody needs that much picatinny on a revolver, the rails aren't optional, and i've heard the customer service is wishy washy.
>>29471121
I hope it not chambered for 3.5" magnum
>>29470979
Get some snap caps and watch a good, long movie while working the action with the caps.
Alternatively, become a masochist and shoot trap for hundreds of rounds with that short little guy.
>>29470979
Thats actually really cool
>>29471175
No that's not me. hes not that bad
>>29471383
Yeah i totally want to either coat the shit out of it to blend the seam and maybe have the rails ground off fully (professionally of course).
>>29471462
maybe not, but i still hate that fucker
>>29470979
Just put a lot of rounds through it, mine used to be stiff until about 100rounds through .also how the fuck you get it for so little?
>>29471575
I'm a deal hound. Best deal in the house desu.
>>29471617
But $150 for a O/U is bonkers
>>29471675
It's also Chinese? The reviews said it was solid tho.

Daisy-Heddon VL in 22 Caseless
I picked up an Anderson lower today at the Oaks show in PA. Basically doing a first time AR build on a budget, so its a PSA special. Only problem is the guys at PSA didn't send me a front pivot pin, or a trigger guard, or a screw for the pistol grip...

I also found a box of 1917 dated Remington 7.62x54r from the contract with the Russians back in the day. Fits well with my 1918 Remington M91
>>29472524
I keep thinking I should buy one of those since they are still rather inexpensive and there is still a great deal of the ammunition available. I've got one box in my collection since I love oddities.
>>29472966
I have a two bricks. I haven't shot it yet, but I have read that they are pretty mediocre in almost every regard. I am expecting something akin to a dieseled 22 pellet gun.
>>29473143
The .22 VL loaded a 29gr bullet which achieved a muzzle velocity of about 1150 fps. Comparable to .22 short. There are some .22 caliber airguns getting into the 900-1000 range but the pellets are under 20gr in weight.
Since the topic is recent acquisitions, this Eddystone M1917 was my most recent purchase.
>>29473348
Hmm, not sure why I keep having that issue with file uploads.
Its been eating all of my Golden Tiger.
>>29473348
That also doesn't reflect dieseling, which will push a 7-8 grain 177 pellet from 950-1000fps (I have a Crosman piece of shit) to 1150-1200fps. Given the higher pressures and larger fin cavity of 22 Cal pellets, the returns should be even better. This is using zirt grease, something else may diesel cleaner.

bought a new air rifle
crosman blaze xt with a wood stock and nitro piston in .177.
Finally got an arsenal
should be out of jail soon
>>29473533
How do you like it?
>>29474169
Very handy, just under 7 pounds loaded. I bought it since I had lots of 7.62x39 sitting around. If you have an AK go get one it makes for fantastic companion rifle.
>>29473971
I want this so bad but can't justify the price
>>29471387
You do realize that the barrel length is measured to the breechface, right? It doesn't matter if it's chambered for 3.5" or 2.75" or 1.75".
