I have a 700 police I got later last year. Love it. Remingtons get a lot of hate because of the shitter stocks and triggers. The HS precision stock and 40x trigger make it a pleasure to shoot.

This was trying different loads, so poi was off point of aim.

Kinda related, if I wanted to do a precision rifle build, would a remington 700 sps varmint be a good base? I'd most likely only be keeping the barrel and reciever, and replacing most everything else.

Because I want to have the have the gun tailored exactly to my needs. And it seems to be cheaper to build it myself, then take it in to a gunsmith for final adjustment, than to buy a prebuilt one.
