I only have full size pistols never got into compact handgun and I wanna buy a holster for a glock 17 and full size 1911 so I can ccw then
>what's the best position to carry it and not have it print badly
>I tried apendix carry it worked standing up but uncomfortable sitting down
>would the 4 o clock position help me
>I never where jackets during summer
What should I do what's a good relatively affordable holster for the glock 17
I carry a p-09 at 2-30 to 3, and it doesn't print at all.

Appendix prints the least, but you have to wear your pants at or above your hips and it helps to not have a gut.
When I can get away with wearing a coat or a longer/thicker flannel I CC a Browning Hi PowerOWB at around 3:30-4:00 in a nice leather holster.
When it's hotter out I don't even bother carrying the BHP and go with something smaller because I can't CC the BHP with just a tshirt or a thinner long sleeve shirt.
The BHP is easy to CC because of how thin it is, and I'd imagine a 1911 would be just as easy if not easier because it's even thinner. Just get a quality holster and quality belt and weight won't be an issue.
I appendix a full size M&P with just t-shirts. Most holsters have options for ride height. Set it as high as it will go and you'll be fine sitting down. No need to adjust pants.

This is good advice, but you better have a nice belt otherwise the gun will flop away from the body.

>I never where jackets during summer
if you can cope with a thin flannel shirt or windbreaker that will open a lot of options for you

You should already have a gun belt. Regardless of carry position.

True, but some people suck at literally everything thing they do. I take nothing for granted anymore.

Future CWWer, I'm looking at guns slightly smaller than full size but not sub compact. Is a gun belt really necessary if I already have a nice thicker belt or will it get destroyed?
Looking at Cz75 D PCR. Right now at least.

your pic is my favorite position when carrying full sized. Generally Im like it just behind my hip. ou don't need a big heavy jacket either, a light one will work. Granted its colder a lot more than it is warmer where Im at so I don't think about it much. I hate appendix, I just do
Id really suggest getting a single stack pocket gun next though. even if its just an extra to have for situations like this. Makes a world of difference

>Is a gun belt really necessary
yes
Gun belt is absolutely your friend and you can get very good ones for 20 or under.

Op i carry a full size 1911 at 5 o'clock in an aliengear cloaktuck. Can easily carry in a tight t shirt. However, if I sit down/bend over, I have to pull my shirt down because it will catch on the large grip of the gun. Its also pretty uncomfortable to drive with. I would like to get a smaller gun but its a low priority right now since the 1911 works

Im thinking about doing this with a Beretta 92FS how are the AlienGear holsters?

Not him, but they're very well designed and very well made. The backing panel is quite wide and some people don't like that, but that's 100% personal preference.
