9x18 isn't too much too handle.
Its a reliable small gun with an unique charm.
I can only recommend getting one.

Money wise perhaps, surplus is getting harder to find and not too many domestic manufacturers make 9X18. Supposedly you can easily switch a makarov to .380, which you can find just about everywhere.

To do an FFL purchase do I just find someone near me to do an FFL transfer?

They have to be an FFL license holder, and you will have to pay them. Some places are nice and do it for like $15, some places are dickish and do $50, and different areas have different prices.

I just got mine in today.

You order it from the online site and give them the fax number for a local gun store. Once the gun store sends over their FFL creds the site can then ship it to them. My shop had a $30 fee for the transfer but other then that it was a breeze.
