>>29343764
Tely loves these pants.

Third for DROP THE FUCKING TRIP
I want these boots but they out of stock http://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/shop/footwear/british-army-desert-boots-grade-1123743.html
should I wait it out or does someone know of a better price anywhere (I'm importing anyway so USA shops are cool too)
TLDR
boots for or under $28?
>>29343778
Firnd for no.
>>29343778
Sixth for come and take it
first for sea wolf
>>29343798
Please tell me you didn't waste money on that piece of shit.
What you should be looking for.
>>29343803
Ninth for I suck cocks for a living.
>>29343832
damn.
>>29343819
fuck no. haha I wouldn't buy that in a million years. Just think it's a cool picture because of the boolit
>>29343775
12th for still voicemail..
>>29344071
So did you pick up that 28 patched OG107?
>>29344186
No.. Mostly because the person I was babysitting was begging us to leave.
Looked like a S-Short, had Staff Sergeant ranks and the blood bucket in red
>tfw know I know why you don't be too nice to sheltered kids
Sometimes we get a really good deal and get a rare camo or a grail for cheap, so cheap in fact that we are not sure it's for real until we actually get our hands on it and inspect it ourselves.
Today I tell the cautionary tale of me getting the opposite.
I have a massive DPM boner, and Iran has some pretty legit as fuck DPM patterns. I am also impulsive, and sometimes act before thinking, and do shit like place a high max bid on something the Thais are selling that you are sure is Iran DPM.
This is the item in question.
>>29344186
Sully, is this worth more than a regular BDU?
>>29344291
Camopedia tells us this pattern came from the United Kingdom and was used by the Iranian Basij units. I believed it to be a pretty good match and bid on it before doing my due diligence.
>>29344298
So I can't find pictures of Iranians wearing this uniform, and some Googling tells me the zippers are Chinese. This doesn't mean it's not Iranian, but it's maybe commercial.
I wouldn't have minded getting it regardless because I like the pattern. Sadly for me, though, somebody bid me up. Luckily I'm bidding on a few things so the shipping cost will be split up. I then proceeded to lose all my other bids, so I paid too much for this and the full Thai shipping costs.
So the TL;DR is I got assfucked price-wise on something that might not be what I thought. Lesson learned, check better next time.
>>29344291
Fag. I wanted that.
>>29344293
Is that a 1980 dated m81 bdu?
>>29344293
>>29344353
It might be an RDF
>>29344353
I'm trying to find out, its not in the RDF cut.
>>29344346
S-sorry
In your estimation, is it Iranian or commercial? Keep in mind I'm not selling it.
>>29344364
>>29344293
Could be a trials piece. Both of the 1981 dated M81's I have are made by Selma.
>>29344391
I was thinking it was Iranian.
>>29344502
I'm reasonably confident it is, but I would have been more hesitant next time.
>>29344291
>Placing a max bid
>Not sniping
>>29344734
Snipers are fags.
>>29344071
What's wrong with that store? Do they want to make money or what?
>>29344741
>Snipers are fags.
Yea, poorfags :^)
Are M84 BDUs/Equipment still impossible to find?
>>29344745
Well, they just fired a guy for heroin
Gosh, for meeeee?
>>29345012
Update, he may have the backpacks in that pattern tucked away. Still some shirts left. According to him, they never were a big seller since he bought a bunch of the stuff 10-15 years ago.
The shirts should be there on Thursday-Sunday, whichever day I can get in there.
>>29345200
ohhh shiiit
>>29345223
I missed pants and hats by 6 years.
More like lizard edition.
>>29345251
More like dick head entitled buyers on ebay
>>29345200
I'll take a backpack too in that case if they aren't ridiculously expensive.
>>29345425
More like more lizard.
Should I buy a polish zaba or a moro winter jacket, or both?
>>29345544
Serb police right? I've got a hat in that pattern.
>>29345572
Yeah that OG purple.
How should I wash a Gorka?
Is it machine washable?
>>29345480
Both, but get the moro first
>>29345701
Moro like more lizard.
>>29345701
Alright thanks, gonna buy the Moro first. I will pick up the zaba later, as I'm likely gonna save the 35 Euro from the zaba to buy an original Wehrmacht Zeltbahn poncho.
Damn, bought a lot of camo this month, but damn good ones though.
Pic of Spook's complete Estonian set when?
>>29345324
How much did you drop for this AF lizard? What's a reasonable price for a set out in the wild?
I found a set of late 80's early 90's bdu's, just wondering if I should pull the trigger on them or not.
>>29345843
Let me go take those pictures real quick.
I have created the perfect combination
>>29346177
>Pants tucked into socks
Is 26 burgers a good price for a CCE F2 jacket?
>>29346325
A little much.
Why are British Mk. 6 helmets so fucking expensive?
>>29346371
That's including shipping, my bad.

There the only ones I know were I can get those comfy swede long johns
>>29346177
Off yourself OiOi.
>>29346437
Because it;s not shit, all the good helmets are expensive. That said I paid £60 for a Mk. 7.

Should I get this to go with all my DPM stuff?

>>29347259
That looks alright actually.
>>29347185
I'm going to call the rozzers on you for that image m8. You should've thought about the consequences before you triggered me like that!

>>29348893
Whatever store UPC is trying to buy the experimental Czech desert shirts from. And possibly backpacks.
>>29348906
>>29348927
Just got the bandolier in all the way from germany. Now to find a ww2 swiss uniform. Anybody know a good place to look?

Picked up a Serbian field jacket. Does anyone know what this velcro'd on piece of fabric is for?

Well, I'll tell you after I grab these shirts. Not now. The East German collector north of me knew the owners dad.
>>29349381
Noice. How much did you pay for it?
My closet would be a good place to start for some information about your set. Swiss stuff that isn't related to the guns is pretty inexpensive, for the most part.
>>29349791
>172142342683
Good deal
>272149235629
Mother of God that is way over priced. Don't spend over $40 for a M1918.
>182063208252
That thing is either privately made, or hella modified.
>301188198148
That's pretty expensive for the non-hobnailed version.
>>29349544
What a sad existence.
>>29349881
I'm not claiming to be an expert, I just clicked on the first things that came up when I searched "Swiss" in militaria

GOOD! I'm the Swissxpert around these parts.
>>29349924

>>29349792
You're being oddly protective over a small buy of a cheap item. Something you want to tell us?
>>29350001
Speaking of swisshit, I found a horizontal repeat in alpenflage.
So that's pretty cool.
>>29350689
Yarp, Trench told me. Pretty awesome.
>>29350719
Did he give you the link? I'm thinking of getting a meter or so (however much it is for the vertical repeat) just for shits and giggles.
>>29350830
seller hasnt responded to me yet.
>>29350830
Yeah. It's pretty neat.
>>29350268
to be honest, I have no idea what the bags are worth
>>29349814
The price was 33 euros from a German company call sportarms. But getting it to us was a pain and cost me even more plus my bank botching a wire transfer put these at well over 100 dollars. Not happy about that but very excited that it's finally here.
>>29349791
I'm pretty new to the whole milsurp/camo thread. Are these numbers supposed to be links?
>>29351270
Well, $100 is still a good price especially for the condition it is in.
>>29351283
They are ebay item numbers
ebay.com/itm/[item number here]
>>29351301
I'm glad to hear someone else say it was worth it. Ok that makes sense. Thank you for the help with the item numbers thing. I'm very excited to start collecting and working towards a complete uniform and kit. Is there anywhere I should look for good reference information to learn what makes up a correct uniform?
>>29350952
Here's to hoping that the swis will ship to burgerland.
>don't you even think about jewing this fabric on ebay
>>29351377
Me and Theswissriflesdotcommessageboard.yuku.com (I know, it's a fucking mouthful). The owner died a few months ago which was a huge hit to the daily attendance, but there is a still a mountain of info.

I don't get it? There is only a wall
>>29351766
>>29351780
>>29351733
That's a pretty nice set. Does it have the sniper veil?
>>29351796
>>29351856
yes it does. all hardware intact, no holes. the backpack is really nice too. I'm impressed by the quality of it. The veil looks like it was never deployed.
>>29351896
I need to get one with a veil.
>>29351917
I took more photos of it but it seems I forgot to remove the lens cap. I plan on taking some photos of it outside; I'll take a few photos of the veil when I do.

How do you guys deal with moths?
I keep seeing the fuckers flying around my house and while I haven't found any noticeable damage to anything yet...
>>29353016
Add cedar wood hangers, they stay away from your closet if you add those
>>29353016
Cedar closets, airtight containers, or put lavender in your closet. I don't do mothballs or moth crystals personally but they work too.
>>29351733
Everybody only even gets one foot done.
>>29353016
I kill shitloads of them in my room, but my understanding was clothes moths don;t fly so they must be eating something else. Found a bunch of them nested in some plastic in my junk/empty box cupboard, maybe they're eating cardboard.
>Terrorist attacks on my birthday
>#StopIslam

What camo is the sleeve on this airsofter?
>>29353666
To me it looks like some commercial "urban" pattern.
>>29353411
surprisingly, this and rice in my case.
>>29353516
A5 won't get invoked
>>29353666
it's from Grey Ghost Gear, "Urban-Tri"
Good luck buddy
>>29353411
She has both feet done. I wouldn't get my feet tatted though. Fuck that.
>>29354152
Thank you, but google search turns up nothing... You sure that's the right brand and camo name?
>>29354154

>>29353411
My ex has both feet done.
>>29352697
Well that one isn't for sale.
>>29353016
All of my WW1 uniforms and other wool items are in a 12' long cedar closet. Those that are in footlockers and trunks have either cedar chips or the left over trimmings from making the closet.

>>29354716
There are so many camouflages, when does one stop collecting. I keep buying. ;_;
>>29354817

I would get great amusement from owning one.
>>29358297

Estonian is the only official language.
Younger folks usually speak Estonian and English, while the older crowd raised during the Soviet occupation knows Estonian and Russian.
>>29358356
Hmmm...now that is a very good question.
How should I wash a Gorka?
Is it okay to machine wash?
>>29358356
Is that Goretex?

So i was thinking of how to get a poorfag flack vest. So i came across one of these - http://www.wildernessleisure.co.uk/dpm-flak-vest-cover-woodland-591-p.asp . And also this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MTP-Osprey-Armour-Vest-Plate-Covers-Set-of-Two-Black-Nylon-Vest-Inserts-/281252850438 .
Now i'm wondering if this would make a relatively effective vest for like $25. What are the dimensions of those inserts? Can they fit in that plate carrier?
>>29359028
Those are plate covers, not actual plates. Read the description next time.
>>29359130
I did read it, those are the equivalent of spall liner of some ceramic plates as far as i understand, but aren't they bullet resistant to some degree, since they are intended to stop fragmentation? They are nylon, after all, like the Vietnam era flak vests.
>>29359257
They're fabric and the only thing they do is stop tiny shards of the plates from flying off and cutting your throat. You could pierce them with a fucking BB gun. A lot of things are made from fucking nylon, that doesn't mean they're fucking bulletproof. You're going to get yourself killed.
>>29359028
>poorfag bullet protection
That does not exist. Get legit plates or don't get shot at.
>>29359299
>>29359462
I prefer the lightweight method. Although the PASGT vests do offer protection from pistols and shotguns from what I've seen.
>>29359537
Lightweight has its uses just as bullet protection does. I do need to get a chest rig eventually.
>>29359462
It'll stop a rifle round and a knife, but it weighs a bloody ton.
>>29359588
>it will stop a rifle round
Are you sure?
>>29359028
Just get a $50 flecktarn flak vest.
>>29359570
This whole thing cost me less than $50.
>Belt, $1
>Suspenders, $1
>Grenade pouches, $2x2
>Canteens, $10x2
>Mag pouches, $2x4
>Buttpack, $10
Granted, there was a guy liquidating his surplus store at the gun show, but I got some of it on Ebay too.
>>29359662
True, but it doesn't match. And I cannot have that!
>>29359611
Yup, it's the kinda vest they used to give VIP's they REALLY didn't want getting damaged. I mean it's outdated now compared to stuff with plates, and I wouldn't like to test it with a 7.62, but it's the real deal.
>>29359678
I think it looks nice, and I also don't mind looking like a ragtag militia soldier. It kinda gives me a Desert Storm vibe.
>>29359643
link?
>>29359772
I think I've asked this before, but are assault vests and webbing meant for the same purpose, and it down to preference?
>>29343764
Next edition should be flak jacket/plate carrier/ bulletproof vest edition.
>>29359827
I mean yeah basically, that's just an "upgraded" version of what I've got. I've got an Improved Tactical LBV myself but I prefer my chest rig.

I hope I never have to wear one again.
>>29359970
What was so bad about it?
>>29359936
It can move up and down a bit but not really side to side because of the amount of this I've got stuck on there.
>>29360028
>>29359936
And by a bit I mean about a centimeter, not much that it actually affects anything.
>>29359984
>not adjustable
>holds 4 mags
>LMG and grenade pouches insanely tight
>not integrated with armour
Just all around garbage. Most infanteers swap theirs out with something privately bought before going overseas.
Anyone who tells you it's good is probably a clerk or a dinosaur. Either way they're wrong.
>>29359970
>>29359984

>>29361668
The pockets make it look repro, also the color seems off but that might be the flash.
>>29361727
The color is definitely off. Phone has HDR and the lighting is weird. How should the pockets be? Does the CF stamp the clothing at all?
>>29362350
I don't know why I didn't look at your picture.
It still frustrates me to no end that, despite all the WWII stuff that gets replicated for reenactors, no reproductions of US M3/M5 Flak Helmets are on sale, only originals.
>>29362375
Lol. The pockets should look very similar if not identical to mine.
>>29362411
Yeah, I hit send and immediately realized I never checked your picture.
>>29362423
I figured. The arm pockets would be a little different particularly the Velcro, but other than that I do not believe the models are drastically different.
>>29362443
Okay good to know. No arm pockets on mine. Guess its a repro. At least it was only 10 bucks I guess.

If it;s any consolation the money i didn;t spend on that is going towards a Jerven bag.
>>29365949
>Jerven bag
; ( and I already dropped the price
>>29365943
You're always looking at retarded expensive shipping from germany. Just try to get combined shipping with other things you want or check your own countries ebay. Otherwise a fleck parka isn't really worth it imo

I know I saw. I think the waist was a little too small for me also.
>>29365967
Might be the case. Trouser waist is ~42cm, jacket waist ~50cm
>>29365980
Hmmm, borderline too small.
>>29365980
>>29365987
Incidently I love those two hats, but I fit a 59-60cm. Blame genetics.
>>29365918
Pretty much. I doubt it was ever used in field.
>>29366016
They're too small for me too which is why they have to go. I'm pretty much getting rid of everything I cannot wear for whatever reason.
>>29366146
Ah-ha, I see.
>>29365943
Mfw I own one, it's the perfect size, even if you are 180-185cm
>>29358165
No, big no. You can cope them over here for 25USD.
>>29360248
Other way around. Molle works just fine on Alice. You need an adapter to fit Alice to Molle correctly. Hell the adapters are one of the cheapest pieces out there. If you pay more than $2 for one you are wrong.
>>29359772
You need to add a first aid pouch and possibly a flashlight.
>Armor? You guys like armor?
>Got plenty in the store and the one thing I collect outside of WW1 is armor.
>>29366037
Fantastic finds
>>29366425
>picture only has one thing on hangars
:^)
>>29366449
Because that one piece isn't armor.
>Outdated photo is outdated
I have more and different armor now. Just got in a set of side plates.
>>29366425
Wow, okay then.
>>29366312
I know, Gr.1 is the perfect tall skeleton size. Gr.6 is far too long and anything else is baggy as shit.
I own a GR.2 tropentarn parka which is allright but I could lose another 5 cm off the chest for that perfect fitted feel.
>>29366463
Ceramic or metal? Issued? For sale? A friend of mine is looking for some.
>>29366531
ESAPI side plates. Yes they are for sale.
Stopped at a goodwill the other day.
Picked up a pair of 1950's French wool pants, another OG107 shirt and an early M81 woodland jacket. 1982 contract.
>tfw onnline banking is down
>mfw I cannot check to see if I got paid so I can go clear out the store near me of Czech desert
>>29366553
I honestly have no accurate price point on these. I got full set (front back side to side) for $175 a few years ago at a thrift store. I imagine they go for more than thatin the real world.
Pic related, same store.
>>29366850
I've never seen anything other than uniforms and a single canteen at thrift stores.
I can't even imagine walking into the Salvation Army and picking up plates and a MICH.
Anyway the side plates are small and won't be that much. If you want a price shoot me an email.
>>29366842
Just head there and check at an ATM on the way.
Also please let me know if you get something like a medium-large long. Gr14 in German sizes or 52 in Euro. Would like some Czech desert.
>>29366798
I got a cold weather OD CVC jacket at mine yesterday
>>29366842
Jim's?
>>29366890
The store is run by this old middle eastern guy who gets everything dirt cheap from swap meets and sells it at his store. Not even sure why he calls it a thrift store but I've found lots of good shit there. Unfortunately it's in San Diego.

Please gib boonie.

I've got the pouch but it's on my mosin webbing right now. I'll grab one at the next gun show, no way I'm paying more than $2 for one. Might get a knife sheath too, and mag pouches with MOLLE on the front and back so I can double-stack with the ones I already have.

Nice man, I had my eye on that one, was considering sending the seller an offer and asking if he's ship to the states.
You got a great deal on that my friend, if that's the one I think it is. (Although some sources are best kept secret, so let's keep it between you and me)
