Would you rather be in the muddy, cold trenches of the First World War or be in the muddy hot jungle of Nam?
>>29319562
The 'nam of course, what kind of question is that?
You serve your 12 months and go back home, if you are not black or retarded you can spend these 12 months fucking hookers far away from the jungle. In WW1 you get sent to the front over and over again until you die/get crippled/war ends.
Also gas attacks, rats, stone age-tier medical service etc.
>>29319562
Nam.
At least I get to ride in a chopper.
>>29319562
I have an above average IQ and blue eyes, so NAM. I will spend the entire deployment in a public affairs office or a supply room in Saigon, getting blow jobs from QT Asian loli.
>>29319637
this
and kill gooks
fuck commies
>>29319562
>You will never chill with your comrades wearing your uniform in a totally out-of-regs manner while stripping down your M16A1 and blasting Fortunate Son while watching choppers fly by
The lack of this feel was the only advantage of being in WWI.
>>29319631
fucking hookers and being around people in the cities was more likely to get you deathly ill then you were likely to get shot by the enemy on the front.
>>29319737
>Fortunate Son
Fucking casual

It's much better to pound some vietnamese chick than get pounded by shells 24/7
>>29319784
Shells won't give you the clap or some weird germanic-southeast asian looking child.
pic related, vietnamese
I'll do a tour on Endor to that shit
>>29319631
>this
Also, plenty of weed to smoke to get your mind off the war and other drugs if you're into that.

>self proclaimed above average IQ
>blue eyes
>loli
Everything checks out
>>29319843
I'd prolly off myself if i had to be in that armpit.
Nam vets saw more days of combat than WW2 vets.

My Grandpa is a Nam Vet and this is pretty accurate. He hardly has any stories about warfare but has countless stories on fucking hookers, buying stolen jewelry and shipping it home, buying weed cheap as fuck and shipping it home inside speaker boxes, etc. It sounds fun having lived back then. Now a days you can't fart without the TSA knowing it.
>>29319856
>tfw your from Philly
>>29319737
>fortunate son
Oh gee look, some one actually got it right
Nam of course
i was born and raised in the jungle, and i'm an azn myself
it'll be a good sport killing some GI trying to claim some shithole jungle
My country has similar weather to nam' and I would like to blast little Richie while flying in a choppa. Soo Nam plsh
>>29319562
Nam every fucking day of the week
why didn't they use flamers in 'nam?
>>29320387
They did but they kept getting blowed up
So the majority of workers at my job are Vietnamese
pretty chill people but they talk fast.
>>29320232
Ayy
Enjoy Australians or Koreans.
>>29320387
Jungles are pretty moist
>>29319758
Maybe so, but at least I'm getting laid first.
>>29319562
At least in NAM I can do drugs to escape from the shit
>>29320435
i would probably retreat at the first sign of strayan or korean
My father and my uncles served in Vietnam. They all said they would go back in a heartbeat. They loved it. All were infantry but one - he was a medic.
I've never heard anything endearing about WW1 / the war to end all wars.
>>29319562
Wasn't the casualty rate for Americans in Vietnam pretty low, all things considered?
>>29321281
It averaged out to five dead per day throughout the entire war.
>>29320387
Because napalm sticks to kids.
What's up with all of these people claiming that 'nam was all chill af and shit. I always thought it was fucked up, kinda like in Platoon or First Blood.
>>29321634
it wasnt chill unless you enjoy shit infected booby traps and sweltering heat
>>29321634
It depended on where you were. An infantryman was usually rolling around in the jungle looking for charlies and occasionally fighting the NVA when they were feeling foggy. Anyone else was either in camp or down in Saigon.
>>29321522
Napalm sticks
just like glue
sticks to the women
and the children too
Infantry blue, all the way!
>>29319864
I did, thanks!
>>29319631
>if you are not black or retarded
I'm both ;_;
>>29320931
Whenever I watch WW2 documentaries all the vets are really enthusiastic when giving their stories blasting japs, When WW1 vets were still alive to give documentaries they all visibly found it hard to talk.
>>29319562
'Nam, probably. Not sure if actually being Vietnamese is going to be a plus or a huge minus in this situation.
>>29319758
It's WWI so you've still got a good chance of coming down with spanish flu right as the war is ending.
