You can still reload using the traditional method even if you have a BAD installed, so really no reason not to have it. Makes locking the bolt back significantly faster too.

I personally don't run one but I do think they are useful. I just prefer to keep my reflexes in line with an AR at a basic level. If the S ever HTF I want to be able to pick up any ar/m4/m16 and not be trying to tap the bad lever that may or may not be there under stress.

There's no downside to it really. You can still use it like its not there if you want. And locking the bolt back is so much easier with it.

I never realized until just now how nice it was to be a left handed shooter in the army. Long fingers helps to reach the mag release without breaking my grip.

Phase 5 is so much better. It is one solid piece that replaces the standard bolt catch/release. The B.A.D. Lever is a piece of shit that just screws ontop of the standard. Because of this terrible design it has a shit load of wiggle/play/wobble. Phase 5 is solid as fuck.

I have one. I guess it's good if you can find a cheap one. I bought a $14 one, and it's mediocre. Doesn't stick out of the trigger guard, but doesn't get in the way. Takes some getting used to.
