Okay, this time I've really got a great original idea for a new type of firearm action.

One of the bolts is missing from the drawing for simplicity.
This is how it works:

It's a side by side for magnum rounds like .45-70 or .44mag or something. There are 2 bolts and 2 magazines but the action is worked by tilting the barrels back forth clockwise or counterclockwise. The bullets eject backwards over the bolts and the barrels push the bolt down causing it to feed out of the magazine. This avoids the problems semi-autos have with these mega recoiling guns.

I'm going to e-mail it to kel-tec. I call it the twisting cartridge clamper with over bolt ejection.

I kind of want one and I drew a thing in paint.

I like the art decor squares anon, you should consider getting into interior design

They're not art, they're so kel-tec will like it.

Are you the same guy who came up with the forward-mounted-magazine fed revolver?

Why can't you just shoot heroin like everyone else?

This one?
This design was to eliminate kinetic mass. The point was that it doesn't have any kinetic mass.

Another anon also said that eliminating the kinetic mass would not help recoil so I then designed one to increase it instead. It's action gyroscopically stabilized the gun to prevent recoil.

This is exactly the reaction I got.
So I dropped the work on inertial mass and decided to put off efforts on that front.
I thought, what if I could both increase the capacity of a revolver and make the cylinder thinner at the same time?
Obviously, that's a concept everyone could get behind and so I came up with a dual cylinder revolver where the cylinders are geared off of each other and could even be set up to fire 2 shots at once.
>>
>>28867434
People seemed to think that it would be "impossible" though I have no clue why.

So from there work moved back to managing kinetic mass. I came up with this where the entire action cancels out it's own kinetic mass by utililizing the separate but equal clause of physics.

Why not make a gatling gyrojet?

Kel-tec for whatever reason had stopped responding to my e-mails though. I think it was because I made the mistake of not having enough squares.
The next design I came up with looked at different ways a clip could be loaded into the gun. I came up with a spring loaded reciprical feeding concept that loaded through the back of the grip. This allowed a top slide and a bottom slide to be used which would otherwise block the loading of the loading of the magazines. The design also allows for the perfect combat spread firing 2 parallel shots at once.
>>
>>28867464
Interesting design, I was unaware.

It turns out most of the designs I came up with were already produced; the consequence of it being an old technology.

I got a bunch of other ones too but think I'll just delete

You definitely have to learn an CAD software designed for mechanical engineering (maybe AutoCAD Mechanical). You'll get the chance to test your designs and there's a chance someone will take you seriously if you come up with a digital model as opposed to paint drawings. How old are you, btw?

This one was invented 101 years ago by Karl Gast, pic related. The Russians use a similar mechanism in a few autocannons, like the GSH-23 and GSH-30-2.

So you're on the right track.

interesting design, but how would the extractors work, and are the barrels rotating manually or is there a recoil-operated geartrain?

So revolverfags, this would have cylinder walls too thin to fire anything that big, correct?

This would only be useful in a large caliber that is currently limited to 5 shots or stupidly oversized cylinders.

We need a Raging Judge version of this.

didn't you also do that forward recoiling barrel design?

The idea was the barrel would be 16 inches at the time of firing to meet NFA laws or something?
>>
>>28870860
Blow forward already exists, it just sucks. You get the worst of long recoil and blowback, but in a smaller package. It's pretty much unused except for some occasional bullpup shotguns.

Firearms are a mature technology and OP is not smarter than everyone else in the firearms world.
>>
>>28871107
Iirc it was a telescoping barrel that only met nfa required length when fired but would have been an sbr otherwise.
Perfect for trolling atf.

>>
>>28872954
WHY?
>>
>>28867297
You also need to worry about cylinder gap
>>
so I thought of something.
we all know about the falling block action, used in arty, and it was used in the ruger no1.
well I thought, hey, why not take the toughness of the action and make it be able to fire multiple rounds, lever action style.
so my thought is;
a ruger no1 (ish) with a lever that would go backwards, towards the stock, where a horizontal stripper clip is. the lever picks up the round, moves forward, and loads it into the breech, all while cocking and sealing the action.
I'll do my best to draw this in paint or something, or make a technical spec, but that's my main concept.

>the gas from the cartridge doesn't only have to flip 4 pounds of metal up and down, but have to chamber a round which it isn't speeding forward to engage properly because of the barrel twist

You know what a short stroke is right? Where guns with modern loads have trouble DOING this with a bolt lighter than four of your fingers.
>>
>>28877122
Equalized pressure outside of barrel, silent ammo.
>>
>>28879004
The action is clearly manual, like a pump action but rotational and with 2 barrels.>>28879004
