Nothing wrong with any of them, a glock 17 or 19 are great, CZ75 looks cool and shoot great, M&Ps are great. I don't know about sigs though i have never shot one

M&P9 or Glock 17. You'll be happy with either. Both are great guns.

OP here. Basically CZ, M&P, and glock are the 3 brands I'm seriously looking at. Kinda leaning towards the CZ but they're kinda rare in my area but expansive if you can find one. M&P is probably the cheapest but I hear the trigger isn't so great but with adjustments a good gun. Glock are probably the most common suggestions I've had in the past. I still have a couple months until I decided so I'll do my research carefully.

Its made by the canik 55 factory but tristar buts their name by it.its a turkish factory which makes different weapons for their military and police as well NATO. They make many different clones that are high quality but are also pretty cheap.most models can be found for under 400 u.s dollars

I would recommend a Jericho 941, some of the newer ones come with a rail build on it, some like it some prefer the ones without it, sometimes you see it branded as a baby desert eagle. Also comes in .40 and .45 as well as 9mm.

Semi off topic but if you want a revolver as a second gun or back up, I would recommend a Ruger SP 101, there build like tanks and will outlive you and can fire .357 and .38 and any carry hand load you find or come up with. Ruger LCR then a used Smith & Wesson revolver, maybe a model 36 snubnose, great damn small gun.

Yes it's not so great. But everyone swears by the apex trigger, so OP could have a good pistol still in his price range. But it would be easier to buy the pistol that comes with a good trigger, the Glock.

M&P

My two personally owned guns I have trained extensively with are my S&W's.

My .223/5.56 M&P-15PS
and a M&P40 Compact

Both have less problems then my working gun which is an early Colt M4 carbine. M&P is on par with Glock in my opinion, a lot of nice aftermarket options as well.

I highly recommend Glocks and M&Ps.

My buddy recently bought a P229 and I love the thing and he has not had an issue yet, but the weight/bulkiness is a con. But it's a whole personal preference thing, I personally like polymer-framed now over some aluminum/steel.

A lot of people do not do this and it may seem impractical, but see if you can rent any of the handguns you are eyeing at a local range to try them out to see what fits best and what you shoot well with.

M&p with apex trigger. Best thing I've ever done to my pistol. You end up with a really really consistent trigger. It's not like a tuned 1911, but if you are going to carry it, it'll make your follow up shots much faster and the reset is perfect (for me)

FNH fns9 is also a good bet. Some people have said the trigger is gritty out of the box, I dissembled mine and polished it. According to a buddy of mine it wears in rather easily. I dunno its close between this gun and the M&P for me. I shoot the FNS better.

The M&P is a better bet over the glock with its disgusting polymer guide rod.

Glock is a kit gun, you buy a basic bitch gun for around $500 and spend further cash to get it like you want it. At least the M&P is better.

The grip texture on the fns wears out pretty bad after a while, my friend works armored transport and the texture is fucked from daily carry.
