>shooting 1911 for new years
>load 7 round mag
>shoot 4 rounds in to the ground
>hammer goes on half cock pull it back to full cock
>pull the trigger three round burst before it stops
>thought should fix it later this is awesome
>load another mag shoot 5 rounds
>again 2 round burst at the end
>since have fix the issue mainly because afraid of out of batter discharge
>check brass in the morning no bulge
It was awesome dumping psuado full fun 1911 but wouldn't risk it so fixed it in morning

I've seen it happen to an older Colt 1911 before. No idea what causes it but I'd want to get it fixed for the same reasons you stated.
