Desert Tech sent me two of these last week.
They are fully modular bolt actions in a bullpup configuration with a barrel and bolt system that allow the user to change calibers very quickly. Pretty neat design.
The design allows very long barrels to be packed into very small packages.
26" .338 on top, 16" .308 on bottom.

hey would you be opposed to send me an email or give me some way to get in touch with you?
>doorknob
For now we'll focus on the smaller.
It's extraordinarily balanced with such a small barrel.

I think I still have an opchan email, [email protected].
Ambi safety and mag release. Trigger is adjustable and very good.

>very long barrels to be packed into very small packages.
Then we must make the barrels twice as long!
Adjustable cheek rest and left side mag release.
The mag release is a complaint of mine. Regardless of if you press it from the left or right the magazine still needs a good amount of force to remove. Not easy especially if you are laying down and trying to operate it.
What's the street price on one of these?
>>28361148
Well, it's a long range precision rifle. It's not like it has to be HSLD.
They probably wanted a tight mag lockup to make feeding as perfect as possible to avoid deforming the bullet or cartridge.
>>28361113
thanks
just sent an email, /k/
Mags look like they're all constructed the same to fit in the mag well, differences being a small plate welded in for cartridge length.
>>28361186
>tfw they could have copied the old Mossberg Magic Mag design and made it modular.
But then I guess you couldn't sell special snowflake magazines in every caliber.
>>28361166
Over $5K.
They're stupid expensive.
Monopod can be retracted from the stock.
>>28361207
Gotta make money bro
Length of pull can be adjusted with spacers.
Disassembly begins with removing the butt pad.
Is it pretty easy to cycle without taking it off the shoulder? It looks like it would be a bit awkward.
I missed BOOF's mittens faces
A tiny bolt hides inside.

Bumping actual content on /k/
Laundry day became easier today.
>>28361259
It takes a little getting used to, but after a mag or two it's very easy to cycle.
A 3/8" socket is used to take apart the bolt so the bolt head can be replaced with a new caliber.
>>28361241
>>28361261
If you don't fill the gun with various forms of tasty confections while disassembling, and saying thats how it was I will be disappointed.
Bolt design is odd. It's sleeved and the cocking piece is at the 7 o clock position.
Also, look at that tiny firing pin.

http://primalrights.com/desert-tech/srs-a1
pricing is towards the bottom of the page, but if you want a normal setup theyll run around 5k for the srs model the hti is like 7kish

I really like this version of adding spacer to the rifle compared to AI with the screw in spacers. Does the DT butt pad have the option for adjustment, like changing it to go into the shoulder pocket?
To remove the barrel, first use a 5mm hex key to unlock the barrel containment thingy.
>>28361326
Not that I saw.
With the barrel containment thingy unlocked, loosen the four screws on the right side slightly.
>>28361148
Are those proprietary mags or are the AI ones?
>>28361361
Nevermind, been answered already.
>>28361361
Not sure, think they're propitiatory.
Barrel now slips out the front of the rifle.
That's about it.
With only the barrel and bolt head replaced you can shoot pretty much whatever out of this chassis.
>>28361386
Thanks for the dump, bud.
>>28361325
Any idea if you'd have issues running small rifle primer stuff like 6.5 lapua in this rifle?
>>28361357
That is the the one thing I like is being able to do is adjusting the buttpad to just fit into the shoulder pocket.
>>28361386
>>28361397
I would doubt it.
Also, here's the front of the card they sent in the OP.
>>28361413
I ask since AIs have that issue with the larger firing pin hole, which they are now addressing by shipping smaller firing pin hole versions.
>>28361042
They sent them to you? Did you buy them or did you win the Desert Tech lottery or something?
useless rifles.
>>28361750
I'm Jelly bitch: the post
>>28361386
so, it's basically $4000 for the chassis?
>tfw no MDR
