If yes, how much did you pay for it and is it good?
>>28348707
Estonian or ukrinian i think.
>>28348717
You'll have to be more specific. there's tons of types and prices. if you mean regular EG strichtarn, then yes, pretty much everyone has it. $25 a set for the basic is the average price.

I have the winter set. It's now my go-to jacket for cold weather. It's super warm but isn't fucking huge like the Czech parka.
>>28348717
The photo you've provided is of the East German Paratrooper uniform. It's quite rare and expensive. Goes for well over $100 for a set.
Normal schmuck motor rifles strichtarn is cheap and plentiful. As for whether it's "good"... it's surprisingly practical, but it's odd stuff: no belt loops so you'll need to either get the perfect size (fat chance as it's deliberately shit-fitting) or get the proprietary trouser braces to hold them up.
The beret in strichtarn looks a bit fake though.

Oh wait you may have a korean war helmet. Never mind about the liner markings theres a hole over the front rivet which indicates it was a liner before 1956. the liners which were produced in 1956-pre vietnam, had no hole over it and were made of a different material.

Well flak jackets might have additional space for plates. And finding authentic german shirts are super easy. Just make sure it has a flag on the side and german tags and you should be good.
>>28350204
You'd have to modify the jacket to accept plates. It only has large pockets for kevlar.

They're over pants. The slash pockets go right through to whatever is underneath.
>>28350735
They're made as over pants. Doesn't mean you cant wear them alone though.

1st item, a few pics.
I got a big what appear to be unfired blanks for $5, and I'm having trouble ID'ing many of the headstamps.Boy is it a fucking mess of calibers and headstamps.
I've found a few, marked * FR * .30M2 which are 30-06 Mexican blanks with other FR headstamps, the newest of which from 1960, while a majority of the cases are 7mm mauser, with * FCI * 1 headstamps from 1933 and CBC MG XXXX, both of which are Brazilian.
>>28351059
>>28351104
The odd thing about these blanks, regardless of whether or 30-06 or 7mm Mauser, is that they aren't crimped, but rather sealed off with a little piece of leather. Yeah, LEATHER. This is shown in the top image, which still has powder. The other two show the pieces of leather that have been pushed back into the case, and the rest are missing them, emptied of powder.
>Also, there's heavy corrosion on most if not all of the emptied cases, indicating that they have (unsurprisingly) corrosive primers.
>>28351246
The next item, I can't identify for the life of me.
Japanon, is this Japanese? What is this thing? It seems to be some sort of handkerchief slide-wrap-thing.

>>28351287

It says, along the lines, "Let's do our best Japan!"
>>28351532
Also picked up a large ALICE with a frame for $15, but it's pretty beat to hell and not entirely original.
While looking for cool little stuff the guy working the counter was going through new inventory and found a 7.61 ammo can without a lid, so he just gave that to me.
I can tell the bag is used (inb4 no shit) in the way of someone bought an ALICE, used it, and sold it to this place, all because of those nasty Carolina red clay stains.
>>28351559
Thanks m8, still trying to find anything else about it online. Because of what it says, I think it's not JSDF, but rather some propaganda thing or pro-military thing for civies to show their support. Paid $.50, so it's no big deal

Not technically surplus or military issue, but it's nam era, (this individual kit is from 1970, other made from 1970-75) and a few very well might have made it there.
"Cutter Hi-Lo Snake Kit" relied on the concept of slashing 1/4 of an inch into a wound, and using a vacuum over a bite to draw out the venom. Pretty neat little kit, has a small scalpel, instruction, a little vile of (Expired!) antiseptic, three vacuum "modules?", and a small string with a metal clip called a "lymph constrictor" that all nest inside one another into a pretty compact kit.
Have no idea if it would actually work in practice, but sounds solid on paper. In the instructions on the topic of creating an incision before using the vacuum, it reminds us all:
>DON'T BE SLASH HAPPY!!
>>28352441
Instructions, sorry if you can't read them, don't have a macro lens.

If the label looks like >>28350254 it's likely legit. However, I've seen a lot of commercial repros that copy the label but with red text so watch out for that.
>>28352698
Unless it's pre 1989. They used red text back then.
>>28352524
>>28352631
Kinda right; slashing your arm won't directly solve any problems,(duh) but use of a (modern) kit IMMEDIATELY after being bitten can remove a small amount of venom from the wound, but not enough for any real effect. Instructions typically say to leave it on for anywhere from five minute segments to contentious suction for 10-15 minutes, but after about 20-30 seconds (depending on the area, as kits using suction don't work well on muscular areas like calves, thighs, biceps, and occasionally forearms, which is ironic, because some of these are the most likely place you'll be bitten) they prove entirely ineffective and can cause more harm than good.
The best thing to do is to get the hell away from the snake, keep the wound as level as you can with the heart, calm the hell down and remember that if you're in the US you have have less than a 0.1% chance of dying, control your breathing (your goal being a lower bpm), and get to a hospital asap.
Don't take aspirin, don't apply a tourniquet, don't elevate it, don't apply pressure, don't put ice on it, don't cut into it, don't use a vacuum, AND DON'T SUCK THAT SHIT LIKE A DICK.

(All information from my 68 year old mother who taught me how to sew. Hi mom)
I personally don't know of any good quality cheap sewing machines because I haven't looked in forever. Buy used, but be wary looking when shopping for them, as a low price might not properly represent a great machine, that might have had a high retail price.
Look on craigslist or eBay for a used machine, as it's not like the really "break down" from use. Once you find what appears to be a solid machine that's good priced, google that shit. Make sure it can do everything you need at a minimum.
I've had a Janome Memory Craft 3000 for 5 years now, given to me by my mother after she used it for another 10+ years. Never had a single problem and can handle any project I've thrown at it. They don't pop up often on eBay, but when they do they usually go for ~$120, but other great machines can be had for less.

While what I say won't effect any shitposter, sewing is a great skill to have, and can save you a lot of $$, and you don't have to wait ever if you need to hem some pants, fix little rips and tears, or hell, even make clothes. (LIKE HATS!)
>>28356055
Also, even the ~$120 used machine I have has more features than I'll ever use. You can find a great one for cheaper.
>>28355929
Sorry guys for the tripple post, but Estonihat, did you ever make any hats in swedish m90 material?
>>28356122
Nope. I've never had any M90 fabric.

Can you shoot me a quick email so I can show you a listing? Just want another person's advice on some stitching on an eBay listing before I bid on it. [email protected]
>>28356146
Thanks for reminding me I'm on /k/.
Relative to a lot of other people here and what they do, sewing is pretty mild on the fag-scale.
>>28356208
Thanks senpai, been looking for that for a while
>>28356217
This one?
I found this fucker at a thrift shop that sells stuff from Scandinavia. No idea what the story behind it is.

Did any of you also notice a lot of bugs on eBay over the last month or two?
Sometimes it doesn't load, and I just found out today that something I bought from overseas got sent to an address that has been invalid for 2 years now and was returned to the sender.
>>28358249
My watch list has trouble loading occasionally, as does my purchase history
>>28358262
I've been having trouble bidding recently too.
Good thing there's been nothing particularly good on there recently.

Another sent me an address that has "Will pick up" as the street line. They are in Worcester, MA.

My default shipping address is the same one I was able to receive stuff from since August.
I don't even know how the seller got the other address since I specified my default one which is the same as my paypal address.

>>28358329
I love mine. Just don't put anything heavy in it. Clothing and bedding is just fine.
>>28358341
Is it supposed to be a deployment bag or something? That's literally all you can put in it.
They must love them because they even made them in Pantera.
>>28358341
Literally all I could think of it being is a dedicated carrying sack for the parka.
And to that anon earlier, I take it back, turns out I do have more ROK than Jap. I forgot about the couple trousers and caps I had.
>>28358351
>>28358365
I have no idea of it's original purpose. It is a poorly designed bag if it was meant to be a field pack. I use mine as an overnight or weekend bag when I go to gunshows, just ends up being a laundry bag.
>>28358397
I have a few of those I brought home from Afghanistan.
>>28358399
I will agree it's good for throwing in some uniforms but it has no structure at all.
>>28358415
Isn't there some rumors about them causing cancer? I bought mine used, you can see it was turned into a work uniform via the white undercollar.
Also how did you come across them in Afghanistan? Some old crates left behind?
>>28358486
Seems a little darker than usual?

In fact here's a comparison. The bottom of the "dove" is different in the Rhodesian and Zimbabwe versions.
>>28358506
Just the lighting in my house and the weird effects of the camera flash, they are normal colored IRL.
That's everything, also Sully, I had this lying around. Any way to date it? The only stamps I can find are the ones in the shot.
>>28358528
>AUTISM
>>28358532
Just get a set of daylight bulbs from Home Depot in the maximum possible brightness.
>>28358467
I've heard rumors of the cancer thing as well. I do know that they had issues with the uniforms causing allergic reactions to the wearer. Afghanistan is a dumping ground, most anything can be found there.
>>28358532
The fact that is green tells me it is at the earliest 1945 and latest about 1980ish. The place to find the date is around the inside of the opening or on the bag under the flap.
>>28358543
>>28358551
Absolutely blank everywhere else unfortunately. The fact it is canvas led me to believe it was an older one, I'll have to try the daylight bulb when I can. Thanks.
>>28358534
That small detail has a big affect on price.
>>28358649
It's still autistic to spend thousands of dollars and hours just to find that difference.
Put your trip back on.
Now that there are actually people lurking the thread, I'll post this again.
Picked it up at local surplus store for $5, appear to be unfired blanks that have been emptied (live primers) and linked. It's a mix of Mexican 30-06 blanks that I can't find a date for and Brazilian 7mm Mauser blanks, most of which are from the early 40's. It appears they were all sealed with a small leather plug and a taper to hold it in place, that have been punched out and emptied, except for one of the 30-06 blanks.
I've found records of headstamps for all but a few of the 30-06, the mystery subjects being stamped * F R * XX * 30, "xx indicating the year (I assume, and 30 indicating .30 caliber)
I just found it odd how both Mexican and Brazilian manufacture ammo share the same headstamp symbols.
Any info?
>>28358746
Also, can anyone identify the links? They're obviously non-disintegrating.
