Question for the /k/ommandos
I want to get my concealed carry permit. Thing is, I'm a grad student. I'm a resident of NC, ideally moving to Virginia after I graduate, and I go to school in another state completely. I have the chance to get my NC CCW before I leave from winter break. Would having this help get my Virginia CCW if/when I move there? Especially if I have a Virginia non-resident permit? Or should I just wait?

I couldn't find a clear answer on this either way online. Thanks bros

Pic because nothing /k/ related on this comp

can't speak for VA/NC but having a previous CCW in AZ counts as proof of firearms experience and allows you to skip a lot of stuff when getting an AZ permit (not that you need one in AZ anyway tho)
>>
Because Governor McAuliffe hates all of you on a personal level, Virginia no longer recognizes concealed carry permits from other states.

VA concealed carry is easy to get though. I think you can do it online.

fuck all of you

Why pay for an NC CCW when VA won't recognize it? All you need in VA is an hour long online course, and NC you'll have to take an eight hour class, go to the range and meet the sheriff. (But NC doesn't meet VAs strict standards)

A NC CCW is accepted by Virginia. No point in getting two of them.

VA ccws are very easy to get, just need to watch a film and answer some questions. Which is funny since VA banned other state's ccws even though they actually take live fire training to get.

I hold a NC cc permit, and am using it to secure a FL permit, where I now reside. I drive to VA a couple of times a year, and am pissed about new non-reciprocity policy. I suggest a NC permit might be wise, as southeastern states will probably quit recogning VA in response. If you travel outside VA, that is.
