Anyone here ever refinished a gun or gun parts? I want to sandblast and refinish these magazines but I don't know what to use on them afterwards.

Bumping for interest and: is there any other way to darken a stainless steel barrel besides bead blasting it? It costs $100 to do in my area and that's what the barrel cost anyways.

Anodizing, chrome plating, or acid etching can work.
I had my Browning Hi Power Cerakoted

What's the cheapest? Any $50 options? Any better $100 options than bead blasting?
Try Brownell's cold blue. Check out their web site. I used the liquid ( kinda brownish ) on a Rem 870 that I had bead blasted. It looked like factory finish, fuckin' great! About $30.00.

>anodizing steel
>changing tolerances with chrome plating
Sandblasting will make those mags so crunchy and rough they'll probably not even work when you're done. Bead blasting, maybe a little less.
I'd probably use oil and wet and dry sandpaper, sand of all the old finish, then re blue them.
With stuff like this it'd probably just be easier to buy a couple of mags.
