I would have gone with the range kit, and not .40, myself. Range kit is the same thing, but it's a bladetech holster, plus a mag carrier and a magazine speedloader, whatever those are called.

Hell, my LGS has the range kit in 9mm for 400 listed on its site right now. Seeing as you got a .40 and it's missing a few things, you definitely overpaid by something like 50 bucks.

OP here. been looking for a m&p for a while, was planning on getting the 9mm but had a buddy that was selling his .40 with everything included. LGS has them for $450-$500 for just the gun, figured I'd save some money plus get a few extras

But honestly it does just fine, and Ammo is always easy to come by, especially with HST's and Gold Dots or Hornady Critical Defense/Duty etc.

I work in a gun shop and we're always doing our best to stay stocked up on 9mm range and SD ammo, and most the time it's fine, but sometimes we get cleaned out. You could argue that there is a reason why .40 sits around, but it's better than nothing and plenty of other stuff.

Personally I hate M&P's but objectively speaking they are solid guns.

Enjoy anon. After spending 3 months in Yurop I love being back behind the counter and I have a newfound appreciation for guns of all shapes and sizes. Within a couple months I am sure I'll be back to my narrow minded-ness and hot opinions, but for now I am loving just about all guns.
