So I shot a cz 75 sp-01 at a range today and loved it.

Anyone here have experience with them?
>>
No, you're the only one here that has ever used that gun, congratulations.
>>
meme gun
>>
>>28269160
Can u elaborate?
I'm usually on /O and have zero handgun experience.
>>
>>28269121
Protip: if you hold a CZ to your ear you can hear the shitty finish coming off.
>>
>>28269121
I like my 75B enough to put it in my tripcode, and I've shot it more than anything else...
It might not be the absolute best pistol out there but it's pretty good and has no real disadvantages.
>>
>>28269248
it's funny because the VP9 got btfo by MAC in his torture test.
>>
>>28269121
They're fine handguns, anon. The CZ75 derivatives are well known and also ragged upon by a vocal minority here, but don't mind that.

Personally I find the controls to be ideally placed and I love the slide riding inside the frame.
>>
Had a CZ75bd since before it's been called a meme gun. Dunno what these fucktards are talking about, the Ceska's are awesome, well built tools. Finger fucked plenty, and the SP-01 is solid. Get it, bro.
>>
>>28269121
Had one for a long time, and it's a fine piece at a good price. If you're considering a handgun, then you can certainly do a lot worse.

>Hating CZ is kind of a /k/ meme, so, you'll probably see plenty of that if this thread gets a lot of replies.
>>
>>28269271
I'll say that my gun is superior just because I have a shoulder holster and shot with it in a competition today. And that it's a Pre B.

To be fair, they were a much better value 10 years ago when nobody knew what the fuck they were, and they all sold for ~$350. Now they are priced with better quality shit.
>>
>>28269193
People like to cry about the finish and the machining while reposting the same handful of images. If you've even held, much less actually fired the gun, then you have more experience with it than 99% of this board. Get whatever makes you happy.

Yes
>>
>>28269121
I've owned one for two years, I feel like it performs above my expectations for what I paid ($500ish brand new) at the time. It's accurate and I picked it because it fit my hands really well. I don't plan on replacing it unless something really drastic in handgun design comes along. Overall, I say get yourself one if you want. They also got a compact which is really nice and the model I own.
>>
>>28269412

Autistic comparisons are not disadvantages.
>>
>>28269412
Weight is pretty subjective - I prefer a heavier pistol for recoil. I have a pistol that weighs nearly 4lbs - wouldn't carry it, but for enjoying shooting, it's wonderful.
>>
>>28269406
Honestly I'd say it's more aesthetics than anything else. To me, it was the idea that a Pre B was more desirable along with it having a 'better' trigger. However the other Czs that I've handled all have good triggers from what I've felt. The other Czs being the Omega, P-07 and P-09 and the SP-01.

Guess I haven't priced 'em in awhile. My P-01 was $400 NIB when I bought it (2006 or 7ish?), and I figured they'd stay around that price.

I got the wood grips, too. Really makes a world of difference in the aesthetic.

I got mine 5 or 6 years ago, and it was already $500. Now I think they're up to around $650

And yeah, wood makes all the difference.
>>
>>28269412
>ah bloo bloo too heavy
Weight matters for some things. My Gew98 is heavy. My SKS is a little heavy. I'll grant those. Except for perhaps a S&W 500 or a Deagle, carrying the weight of a handgun is a non-issue.
>>
>>28269371
>>28269457

Funny I saw this thread, spotted an sp-01 at the lgs for $400
>>
>>28269560
Op here,
I'm interested in the wood, how much better is it?
Is it worth the extra $75?
>>
>>28269582
If the bore is fine and it's not beat to shit, jump on that.
>>28269591
I have coco bolo grips and they're pretty - the feel isn't significantly different than the factory plastic grips; it was a wholly cosmetic choice on my part but I don't regret the purchase.
>>
>>28269567
It's a stretch to say that weight is a non-issue for carrying, it makes a big difference when it's on you all day everyday.

That said, if you're looking at a SP-01 for carry you're already going in the wrong direction. It's a range toy where weight and size don't matter, or can be advantages.
>>
>>28269121
speaking of Czs, my friend competed with his Turkish clone for the first time. The Tristar L-120, I have him to thank for getting me in shooting competitions.

Well, mine was a bit more than $75, but such is life when you want Nills. They're not as grippy as the rubberized ones that come stock, but the aesthetic goes though the roof and they do feel nice. The grips CZ offers and GRIPS4U are pretty good as well. The old style panels that GRIPS4U has are sexy as fuck.
>>
>>28269627
I'm probably poorer than you are. I've merely been minimizing my expenses so that the little money I have can go toward things that I actually enjoy.

The grip factor is slightly decreased, because wood ain't grippy like rubber. But it just looks so nice.

Some people like those fancy anodized aluminum grips, too, but that's a whole different aesthetic. Almost space-gun like.
>>
>>28269443

What holster is that?
>>
>>28269591
>>28269608

You should be able to get the Cocobolo grips for $55 from czcustom if not from CZ-USA.

Mine seemed to add a bit of thickness to the grip, and there's not as much of dip in the wood as there is in the stock plastic grips (75B) for the thumb, so I find it not as comfortable, but still easy to get used to after a bit, and it looks damn good.
>>
Does anyone rest the left thumb on the slide release and the right thumb on the decocker/safety? Shit is comfy but people have told me I might accidentally release the slide. I haven't so far, but... just wondering.
>>
Bought an sp-01 in 2013 and sold it because it would jam consistently every mag. Smooth shooting gun but not the best trigger. The finish was woefully flimsy, about a step down in durability compared to a sig(which have weak finishes imo). If you're dead set on one I'd say the highest to pay for it would be $600.
>>
>>28269812
A proper shooting technique would be to have your dominant hand's thumb resting on top of the first knuckle of your supporting hand's thumb. With your supporting hand's thumb pointing forward.
>>
>>28269812

>>

>>
>>28270085
I take it you found the Thai ladyboy grip makers shop?

Just a heads up, the checkering is EXTREMELY agressive, it kinda tacks the gun to your hand. If you got bitch palms shoot with gloves on for a few trips until it smooths out.
>>

Really guys?
>>
>>28270265
It's added cost to the gun (which I'm against) but cajungunworks sells a trigger and one other part that reduce pre travel significantly and make it a cleaner break as well.

>>28270299
Yeah, just try and forget that part, I shake my head every time.
>>
>>28270129
if they're as aggressive as the VZ grips I'll pass on the checkered ones. Those things are like meat tenderizers. the smooth wood and the pearl are what I'm looking at

>It's added cost to the gun (which I'm against)
dude, your clone was a cheap as they can get.
>>

I'm talking about his legit CZ, I was suggesting a solution to the only thing he doesn't like about the gun.

>>28270383

>>
>>28270412

>>
>>28270412
maybe when I get more comfortable with shooting fast with the SP01 I'll try them. they look cool and being a lot cheaper than VZ grips doesn't hurt.
>>
Oh look, another thread with the same three cz autists jerking each other off

The gun is acceptable. The finish is hi-point tier and the stock trigger is shit, but that's true for every gun

At least it's not another inferior and shitty Glock clone like Sig, Croat shit, and VP9 retards

I thought the lower was the same between the P and the 75comp besides the rail
>>
>>28272402
The Pre B that I got was from CDI Sales, it didn't have it's original finish however that didn't matter to me since it was at a price point that I liked.

Here's an example of one of their CZs, I wouldn't mind buying that myself.
>>
>>28270095
About 900rds through it. yhe thing is the more it broke in the worse the jams got.

>>28269121
I have a CZ 2075...counts, right? It's a swell pistol, shoots well and field strips easy and despite being a sub compact and the lower is aluminum, it has a healthy amount of weight and balance to handle recoil, but not feel too heavy or fat.

Only nitpick is that the chamber had brass stains that were a bitch to clean out with copper solvents so used Flitz polish, which is somewhat controversial, but I felt safe doing it and now my chamber is clean and bright like a mirror.

I like CZ products, their designed well and are reliable work horse built like a tank, but like some of the haters and trolls have stated, it would be nice if the cleaned up under the hood.

As for the finish on the outside...well I must not be using mine hard enough, still looks new save for some holster wear, but I'm not fooling myself, it's a paint on finish like with Russian Saiga's and you either keep grease on the shiny spots where the finish wears or repaint it a baked on paint like cerakote, which is something I'll eventually do with my RAMI and future CZ's but not right away, I want to wear out the factory finish.

I love my CZ 2075, I bet my life on it, but I wish there were less machine marks or rough spots, that way they'd be hands down recommendations

If your weak hand thumb is reaching up there you need to review and fix your grip.

Your entire weak hand should be angled downward.

For all that people shit on CZ finish, it's the only one that completely protected my gun from rust. I left them at home when I went to school and found surface rust on all of them when I returned, except for the CZ.
