Wolf is actually one of the better steel case ammo, bear being the top for non-brass cases.

Look into reloading. A single stage RCBS press and some dies can be found next to free if you go used. If you're not reloading hundreds or thousands at a time the single stage will be just what you need.

I'm trying to decide what .22LR I want, and I've narrowed it down to the Ruger Mk 3 and the Ruger 10/22. I figure that I'll own both eventually, but I can't decide whether I want a rifle or a pistol first. I don't compete, so I'm purely buying this for cheap plinking.

If I had to force myself to choose my preference when it comes to pistols or rifles, pistols would win by a fraction of a hair. If it matters, I own 3 rifles (5.45, 5.56, .308) and 2 pistols (9mm, .45 ACP).

What does /k/ think? Do you prefer shooting .22 out of a pistol or a rifle?
