What does /k/ think about lights on a CCW?
Pic related.
>>28030505
makes the gun bulky, added weight, harder to find proper holster and if I need a flashlight I don't want to take out my gun
Ive tried it before, not really worth it IMO. Maybe a car gun or HD, but I feel like im wearing some batman tier belt set up when I tried to carry it
>>28030505
I carry with a weapon light. It's really nice to have, isn't really any more uncomfortable than carrying without a light, pros are you have your light and gun together so you can have a free hand, reduces muzzle rise, lots of lumens at your disposal etc
>>28031200
>take out gun for flashlight
So carry a handheld light? What would you do if you didn't have a light on your fun?
>>28031200
>doesn't realize that lights are getting smaller
>surefire xc1 no longer than a G19, weighs 1.6oz
There's absolutely no reason not to carry a weaponlight on a G19 sized ccw gun anymore.
>>28031200
>and if I need a flashlight I don't want to take out my gun
...what? You don't EDC a light? There are literally LED penlights that are putting out 200+ lumens nowadays, there's absolutely no reason not to carry one.
>>28030505
Lights good
Laser beams bad
>>28031200
Yeah, too bad no one makes a light that's not on a gun..
>>28031518
This.
With the XC1 out there, there is no longer an excuse not to have a light on a carry gun.
Not ccw related but for weapon lights would you guys go surefire xc1 or inforce apl?
>>28031572
Try finding a kydex holster you cunt.
>>28031604
I've never had a single Inforce light that didn't shit the bed, I'll never buy another again. My two Surefires have been perfect for over 2 years now though.
Besides, the XC1 is smaller for the same brightness and run time.
I personally don't like having a light on my gun because in a desperate situation I don't want to have to point my gun at someone to shine light on them, I just carry my light separate with the Costa switchback because it's more convenient to me that way

Five seconds on Google.

Got mine about a week ago, waiting for the custom holster to get here, even signed up for a low light shooting training course on the 12th.
>>28031624
Not an excuse. There's a couple being sold already (there were holsters for it *before* the light itself was released, ffs).
Wait another six months and everyone and their mom will make one.

>$300 for 200 lumens
>>28031624
How bout g code and bravo concealment among others you fucking moron
>>28032074
No one said you had to buy it.
But, it is the smallest, lightest 200 lumens on the market.

White Hat Holsters
Your welcome.
>>28032074
Why are you quoting the MSRP faggot? Nobody pays MSRP. Any google search shows it at around $260 and I picked mine up for significantly less than that during an opticsplanet flashlight 30% off sale.

I think Target Identification is a Good thing
>I sure hope I shot the I intruder, and not my wife.
Even a pocket light on your opposite hand is better than nothing at all.

Basically every non-shit-tier holster company has options for lights anon...
>>28032380
>$40 savings.
My god what a tremendous deal
Surefire shill pls go
>>28031659
Kinda gay. Why not just go out on some appropriately situated land and start shooting at dusk? Probably safer too
>>28032380
>angry that someone thinks a product you bought is too expensive

>>28031544
so whats the point of having a,light on your CCW if you have a handheld one?
Its just Unnecessary weight if you ask me
>>28035048
I assume you've never actually fired a gun at night with a light, because the difference between off-hand light in a harries hold vs a weaponlight is a huge difference. Weaponlights allow a full 2 hand grip on the gun and is significantly easier to make hits with.
>>28035048
Dude, the surefire xc1 is fucking 1.6 ounces with a lithium battery. Do you realize how insignificant that is on a G19 sized pistol? The weight is 100% unnoticeable.
>>28035074
I have, its not easy but Its by no means impossible. That's just added weight and dropping 300 dollars for something that's 200 lumens. Not my cup of tea, if it works for you then fine but that's just my opinion
Considering it but it looks like I'll need a custom made holster for mine
Why not
>>28031572
>270 dollars
>still has angular snags
SureFire isn't secretly owned by HK right because boy can they jew.
