I'm looking to buy an M39 Mosin.
Whats a good place to find them, other than gunbroker and whats a decent price?

Anywhere you can. They're more rare than Ruskie rifles.
Worth > 300 bucks too.
Don't pay more than $400 for one.
This being said, check Armslist. Sometimes a decent guy will put one up for a good price. I got mine from The Mosin Crate for $365 before shipping and tax, with the condition checked.
classicfirearms.com is a good place i have not checked their stock recently though. also southernohiogun.com honestly armslist is good too
If you're in western WA I'm trying to sell mine.

You can expect to pay up to $600 for an antique in good shape, however.

I'm on my phone now but it's the only M39 in WA on Armslist

$600? They're online for ~$400. How good of shape are you talking about?

>Antique
You missed a word
Collectors will pay more for a rifle in good shape built on an antique receiver.

>antique
technically theyre all antiques
>>27931098
No, an antique Mosin is built on a pre 1899 receiver, meaning it's classified as an antique and can be shipped straight to your door.

ah. gotcha. I'm less interested in a collectable and more interested in shooting it.

They're both out right now. Classic had some a few weeks ago, but they went pretty fast.
I'd wait for one to pop up on The Mosin Crate - you will know what you're getting. Mr. Jones at TMC is an honest vendor.

My Valmet is on a 95 Tula and my Sako is on a 35 Tula. Sako is on the left, Valmet on right.

a few months too late. Gunsnammo.com was the source of every m39 for the last decade or so. Pat Burns' husband bought every m39 the Finns had back in the day and he then her were the only source. She sold off a huge number off to classic, when those are gone they are gone from the retail market.
Pat may have some rare stuff that will get posted down the road but right now private sales is the only way and will probably be that way forever now.
