i like the shield 9, but for the love of god, get an Apex trigger.
Those triggers make a world of difference. They only cost ~$100 and will make your $400 gun feel like a $1000 match gun.

If I were you I would get the Shield in my hands before buying it. I got to play around with one at my LGS, and while it is very small the grip is NOT ergonomic at all. It feels too...sharp, like you're holding a deck of cards rather than a gun.
