I use the MAB Model D for CC. It's pretty obscure. You've probably never heard of it.

When riding one's authentic antique velocipede around downtown Portland, only a Velo Dog will do.

How many people in Portland actually carry? I work as a Security Officer on the East side by the Airport, and its a scary place in Gresham. I'd like to know how safe I am with you guys walking around.
>>
>>27902089
Portlandfag here, I don't personally but I know a few folks who do. Apparently Multnomah County can be a bit annoying to get a permit in based on the sheriff's office delaying, but it isn't uncommon.

What part of Gresham? I work near PDX as well, most of the metro seems pretty calm outside of late nights. Shit gets weird late at night on the fringes and in certain random areas like near Lloyd Center.

Pft, get out of here you mustache twirler. Real Portlanders carry a P7 with nill grips to show off their supreme love of expensive and quality German cold war militaria while carrying an original FP-45 Liberator as their backup pistol.

Some sort of FN 1910 derivative? Looks like Norwegian police surplus from the marking.

Pistol grips are SO mainstream.

Check this out - the Protector Palm Pistol. It's a double-action revolver with a radial cylinder. Fits entirely in the palm of your hand, fired by a squeezer trigger. It was invented in France and produced under license in Chicago.

I have to admit, it's hard to find a more hipster caliber.

If you want some old french CC, have a Le Gaulois engraved pistol. That or an Apache.

Good job ignoring my post.

The POLITI engraving on the slide means it was used by the Norwegian police. Nobody is saying it wasn't made in France. But the Norwegian police markings didn't appear on their own. Why is this so difficult for you to understand?? Fucking day/k/are.

I don't carry out here in Gladstone, but I open carry a Tokarev when I go out to various friends' farms to help or to shoot guns. I pretty much just go to work - where we're not allowed to carry - and stay home, where I've got enough guns around, and my landlord is a fucking boss who carries and keeps a 1890's Winchester 1894 octagon on his wall.

Not exactly obscure.
>>
>>27903228
They're not that great to shoot. The sights are diminutive and there's a lot of mush in the trigger. Compare the trigger with Colt's implementation of the same patent, on the 1908 Vest Pocket, which has a trigger that breaks like glass, if you don't believe me.

Bitch please if you're going to carry a Browning design, at least carry an obscure German WWI-era copy with an external trigger disconnector.
>>
>>27903292
From what I hear they're very picky with ammo. But if you find a round they like they run very well with it.
>>
>>27902195
The owner of Rich's gun shop actually carries a nickle P7M13.
I CC around Portland but it's a G43
>>
>>27903292
>How reliable are these?
If you got a good mag, fairly reliable.
>How is the trigger?
Mine is nice and smooth with a good enough break. Could be a tad less spongy, but this thing'll be used to magdump at point-blank if it's ever used.

Mags kinda correlate with reliability, and if it's not stellar or bad, it's good enough. What are you wanting?
>>
>>27903292
It's a German pistol from 109 years ago. It's a bit over engineered, but still runs very well. My trigger feels just fine, but the recoil is a bit snappy. Magazines are hard to come by, again because 100 years old
>>
>>27901951
Moved out of Portland when I was a wee lad. But still an orebro so what are some old semi autos i can pick up for around $100 and not be mainstream?
>>
>>27905561
Around $100? Geez, probably not much, barring sweet deals.

Even once-cheap Tokarevs and CZ-52s are in the $200+ range, these days.

You can probably get some needs-work-and-TLC project guns for around a hunnert bones, but doubtful a functional piece, especially an older one.

>Also, I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or amused that the thread about hipster guns became a self-fulfilling prophecy and ended up full of pistol packin' Portland/OR people.
>>
>>27905561
Semi-auto? Good luck. A derringer on the other hand...
