I'll have you know it's perfectly fine to be sexualy attracted to camo.
>I'll have you know it's perfectly fine to be sexualy attracted to camo.
Have some boner killer ARVN leaf
I dig it
Quite a bit on ebay, but you gotta watch the years and uniform cuts. Pic related.
He still doesn't know what it is, but he knows it's worth a pretty penny
*Not my listing*
The Alpenflage hats are pretty awesome.
Oh well, that explains why I couldn't find any other images.
What sort of boots did NVA paratroopers wear?
Looking for some decent NVA footwear in general.
Also strichtarn hats, but I think I'm SOL on finding any that are a decent (read: large/XL) size.
I know that feel, 59cm here. I got stupid lucky with my TAZ 90 hats. One's a 59 the other is a 60. Also, the wool overseas cap I have coming in is a 58.
I can tell you from personal experience that finding any headgear in a size above 56 is going to be a pain.
As for the boots... The para boots are rare, and those that have them usually know what they have, so don't expect cheap.
Pic Related on the boots.
Love that pattern. That one is definitely purple. Can't seem to find many trousers in the purple coloration. I'd like to pick up a set of it sometime.
Also buckle boots are based. I'd wear my Czech ones more if they weren't so old.
Well I know a guy with the para boots NIB in size as US size 12. The factory boxes for the boots practically falls apart to the touch.
And before you ask, he's not ready to lose his pair of para boots.
I want a pair of the Czech ones.. But as you said, they're old as hell. I want to find a similar looking pair of new boots.
Well, even some field boots in a US 10 would be a welcome find. Para or not.
There's a lot of argument online about proper placement of the trousers with the boots, some say it's always over the boot, others say tucked, hell, some say bloused.
There are a few slight variations of the Czechoslovakian ones. Mine is the first model, the M60s. They are dated 1961.
The Yugoslavians had a copy of them, but they are almost completely dried up, only a few Serbs list them once in awhile, and the sizes and conditions are completely random to whatever they could get.
Varus has some mil-tec repro French canvas ones that looked pretty cool, but the khaki ones are sold out, now it's just the black ones.
I got the pants with that too, you can kind of see them inside the blouse.
Most field boots I've seen have been in sizes comparable to 8 and 9.
As for the boots, I don't really care about the banter.. From pictures it doesn't seem the NVA really cared outside dress uniforms.
With your pics I look inside the shirts, I tend to assume you have the trousers to your stuff. I store my stuff the same way but like I said I usually use my seller's pics.
I'd check ebay, otherwise I don't know anyone else.
This seems like the best place to ask this.
Non-import marked 1916 Tula Nagant, wood grips, not refinished. $299. Can probably get $275. Good investment piece, fair market value, or overpaying?
Lockup is tighter than a small European milsurp uniform on a 350 pound autist.
A Peter the Great huh?
Most were converted into M91/30s, if it's an original M91 with the original stock, rear sight, etc. then $275 would be great. Non import marked is a big plus too.
The para badged tropical DPM set that was on "Deadliest Warrior" came today.
I have no idea if the insignia is real or just put together for the TV show, or even if the maroon cord is correct. The picture shows the shirt exactly how I pulled it out of the box.
Print on the pant is interesting with many overlaps.
The uniform also came with a paper certificate of authenticity saying it came from the production of "Deadliest Warrior".
Still pretty neat.
They said the British SAS episode.
>Note to mods: Please use common sense. How can I be advertising for an auction that already closed?
My Swissurp wool set should be coming in tomorrow and I'm outty for the night.
>inb4 Not ronal you spergblo
I don't recall an SAS episode. I only can think of SAS vs Blah circlejerks on the web.
That's a Filipino brushstroke copy from the 70's, unfortunately anything from the Philippines is pretty hard to get, the older stuff even more so.
Color wise no, it's a copy of the ARVN "Pinks" brushstroke from Vietnam, on top of that there is a huge variation in coloration of the Filipino version.
The closet thing you could get is the Belgian "congo" brushstroke from the Congo period, although only the trousers are cheap, the smocks are getting uncommon and expensive.
Oh damn, that sucks. A Remington would be a nice one to have.
As for the revolver, I'm not too keen on those, sorry.
Most I could say is look to see if the cylinder matches, the parts are original, also single actions tend to go for a little more.
A friend of mine bought one for $200 but I don't know what year or make his is.
Damn, I guess I'll only dream of having that sexy beast in my hands
I was going to buy it, but they had $249.99 on it, wouldn't come down, and it was a really poor sporter job. Not a Bannerman or anything either. Just some fudd who hacksawed the barrel and put it in an ATI stock.
They look sharp, don't require much material, easy to maintain.
Also there's about 50 names for it;
Side cap, overseas cap, bivouac cap, pilotka, Titovka (In Russia and Yugoslavia respectively) flight cap, wedge cap, envelope cap, garrison cap, piss-cutter, cunt cap, bider, vagina cover...
Obviously those few latter names aren't official.
Most East Bloc/Soviet winter stuff does.
Made specifically for the Makarov.
I know what I'm buying next!
I have no affiliation with this link
Why do you care so much? Besides he's not even the lead camo kek anymore.
>Word filter caught Cyrillic s
Well played Hiroshima...
I discovered the pocket in mine a few days ago.
>TFW when I'll never be able to use it to CC because I'm a lefty.
>abuses community's trust
>surprised he's getting called out on it
It's even weirder that he's not even trying to defend himself and he hadn't had an autism meltdown over this yet.
Something new in the store.
I just had a pair of qt3.14 Mennonite girls come in to look around.
Damn that is sexy as hell
On a side note how does most of this stuff fit? Do you guys just buy your converted size or go up a size due to it being military stuff that is bulky? I got a few telnyashkas that were "USA XL" only to fit like smaller large. baka desu senpai
just order a perroz designs one
is this a legit milsurp schneetarn poncho or is it chinkshit? in general, is there such a thing as knockoff schneetarn?
I might do that. Depends on what Cadet's link looks like.
I don't know why someone would repro them, they're dirt cheap.
Just use CPGear or DBEmboidery. They're both cheap, and Milspec.
I use DB for flight patches all the time.
Just saw it now. Give me half a second to reply.
Maybe. lol Got it for $60 shipped.
my girlfriend scored a full suit of ACU [pants, parka, shirt for around 5 bucks at goodwill, fits her well, she also scored me what seems to be marpat [can't find the pattern on their website or anywhere else] 5.11 pants which she got for 10 bucks, they still had the tags on them.
I came here to ask if you think those were some good deals? The ACU gear fits her near perfect, and is in awesome condition, looks like no one even wore them.
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure of what pattern they are, I assumed they were marpat, but I'm new to milsurp so I could totally be wrong. On another note these have to be one of the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever worn, they are a size or two big, but they feel awesome, and they have some nice pockets.
Any info on pattern would be appreciated, again they are 5.11 Tactical.
yeah I couldn't recognize it either, and like I said no info on their website about it.
this is the closest thing I can find to it, the camera took the photo in HDR so the color might be a bit off.
thanks for confirming that it isn't marpat, like I said still new to milsurp.
This is also a photo of her ACU gear she scored for 5 bucks. undershirt isn't shown.
for some reason she is slowly getting obsessed with milsurp, almost every week she comes home from consignment shops with new molle pouches, backpacks, and uniforms, which I'm totally cool with, but rarely does she find anything that fits me.
dude 5 bucks for pants, jacket, and undershirt.
undershirt is pic related.
I thought she got a good deal, but the back of my head was saying that ACU was pretty common to find and maybe it was standard at a consignment shop to find ACU at that price.
close up of the 5.11 tactical pants, if anyone can point me in the direction of what the pattern is called that would be awesome. I'm guessing that maybe it's a one off run
It's the same pant as this: http://www.511tactical.com/multicam-tdu-pant.html except I can't find info on the pattern anywhere.
Thanks for your help guys, glad she scored the deal on the ACU and you guys confirmed it. I'll get her to model some of her other scores over the next few days, she has found so much shit dirt cheap.
That isn't an undershirt. That is the combat shirt. It is meant to be worn under the body armor, it is also fire retardant. That is worth $20-$25, field jacket around $30 and the pants $10-15.
I own a surplus store, I know what the shit is worth.
Small Short is the hardest size to sell. It is worth the least of one of the cheapest items of surplus out there. If it fits her she might as well stock up.
We go by this motto:
>If it is cheap, buy it chuckle fuck.
I like Arab stuff. They suck balls as soldier but they do understand bling.
there were two pairs of S-reg pants, and all the rest of the ACU gear was s-short, but I thinks he is going to go back tomorrow to pick up the rest of it.
I'm just really curious about the 5.11 pattern because I want to find a parka, or shirt that matches, but it seems like it might be rare since I can't find anything about the run on the internet, so my lady recommended I ask here.
holy shit I think
might be correct, It totally could be Armenian.
how the fuck did Armenian pattern 5.11 tdu pants end up in a consignment shop in Maine.
If you guys are correct, which I think you are. You motherfuckers are good at this.
Is there a shield shaped crest anywhere on the pattern?
Would any of you be interested in Civil Defense water cans?
yeah I'll check again but I can't find a shield anywhere, it looks almost identical to Armenian Pattern, but like you said if there is no shield, then it probably isn't it. the search continues, thanks again for all your help. I might just try to find an armenian parka to go with it for kicks,
Jesus.. I'm interested, but price dictates how I proceed.
It's worth browsing around Camopedia if you have the time, man.
I wouldn't mind having 2-4 around if I could afford it. I could trade you in 55gal drums since I have a source for those. Even if said source is sporadic.
No problem, I look around there when I'm bored and know I can't afford shit.
I wouldn't pay any attention to him. It's just our resident shitposter.
Gave a dollar, even.
All these existential games all of a sudden. SOMA, then The Beginner's Guide. I like it. Get me my pipe and black beret.
I can;t believe you're hating on night desert. It's simultaneously interesting and understated.
Picked up a full set of czech desert today. Don't mind the NWU next to it. I just got back from work.
Parka is slightly harder to work with though.
The hat too huh? Nice.
How much you pay?
Exactly my kind of game. Shame about the monsters and the fact the main character seems to freak out over the same thing twice, but my philosophy boner off the scale.
>My wifey is awesome. She just stopped by the store to give me a Frosty.
Never before have I thought I was wearing sandpaper until I put one of those on.
Rhdoesian camo project.
We just got an update and I emailed him asking about it.
Apperently the first production run had tons of print errors so they have 700 feet of fabric.
They will be soon sending out swatches to those that donated $1 to help fund the project.
Northern PA, search Sully's Surplus on facebook and you'll find me.
Forgot my trip AND file. Fuck.
Remind me to get a picture of my east german GP5 kit and thai jacket will you? I don't have a camera ATM
>TFW you get super hyped for something and it turns out to be less than expected
Lots of stains on the pants, heavy smell of cigarette smoke (most likely from the merchant I bought it from), missing buttons. To top it all of they don't fit, what a bummer. Hopefully the overcoat will turn out better and transcend me past reality.
I agree, but also if you are going to sell something you should seriously use your head and not smoke around it. That's just common sense.
My friend in the Seebees sent me on of these aor2 shirts, how much are they worth?
Do those gloves fit you? They are super comfy.
Chargers for the Canadian gats.
Not mine, it's from inside a building at the base in Panama City. There were 3 shelves of different types of masks but I only had time to snap one pic. What's so neat about an m-52?
>mfw arguing with a bunch of revisionists over Rhodesia in /his/
This makes me so angry.
I want my camo now.
A good 1950's M9A with the filter and bag goes for about $30-40.
I guess if you bought one you could do a little markup, but does it come with filters and bags?
I guess if they are new in crate that would increase the value.
I went milsurp shopping today and the shop I went to had a shirt and pants set of the blue tiger stripe USAF pattern for $35. Is this a good price? I cant find any examples on ebay to compare.
You're fighting the good fight. I don't know much about Rhodesian but from what I'm reading a lot of those guys do not know what they are talking about.
>blue airforce tigerstripe
BUY THAT SHIT RIGHT FUCKING NOW
Then sell it to me for $60
My mother is a Rhodesian, and I have a lot of personal Journals from her, Soilders, and one or two other women. Also picture and two government documents.
I treasure it greatly.
I have been hunting all my life for a Rhodesian FAL.
That's pretty awesome.
You can buy Rhodesian parts (stocks, grips, etc) on eBay. Then you could build your own FAL around it. Sure it wouldn't be a true Rhodesian FAL but it's the next best thing.
East German you say? I'm wearing the jacket right now, it's fucking comfy.com
Weird Pattern 40 Battledress.
Based on the stamps, it's not British.
"Haeren" means it's Norwegian or Danish.
Buckle is far less complex than the British one I have since it has no slide or serrations.
Why are you so obsessed with collecting those cropped jackets from insignificant countries?
They're literally the most autistic surplus in existence since you can't use them for anything.
Probably a really early post-war item.
Most of the ones I've seen from those countries are Pattern 37 style which cost more due to the pleats and other small details like flaps over pockets.
Thanks bro. Where'd you pick it up? Also, any tips on where to pick up little items like kit pieces and whatnot?
Maybe there's a good book about the NVA somewhere? Like one of those model books I used to buy for tanks.
I need to take a new picture soon...
eBay, just like most everything else I have. Ebay is a great place to find things that you've always been looking for but cannot find anywhere. Spend a few hours browsing eBay and finding good sellers, then follow them and check in every day or two.
Yup, just ignore him.
I am suprised /k/ knows how not to take bait.
I left a few years ago because of boringness but you guys have amazing board cilture.
Basically I left after Ukraine happenings for happenings all the time in /pol/, but I've matured a little and it never happens.
Past bump limit I like to debunk what the shiptoasters say, but it gets old because it's the same few people. Some people bite, though.
I'll leave it to you in my will.
Do you have any Swiss stuff that would make me jealous?
I saw a Peruvian geometric BDU that a Peruvian dude was selling.
It was a pretty close copy to an early US BDU save some minor details, but it was $150 shipped from Peru.
There was also a US dude who had one of the golf jacket ones like you have but that was also about $115.
Pretty sure I know your email, pretty obvious one right?
I was wondering what was up. No biggy.
I'll be hiding in my camo room; good luck.
Nice, I think this set was $100 but I forget.
Huh, is that an average price then? I know Peruvian stuff is rare.
What I don't understand is the cut. It looks like it only has an arm pocket? Is it a work uniform?
This is what the coat looked like
I donut know.
You don't buy from ebay huh? I don't think I have your email anyway. I was gonna send you a link.
$20. Got it from a Mongolian dude.
Gerwitz has a field shirt, but I he got it from a US seller who I assume got it in a trade.
The same guy I got it from had "MONGOLIA" tapes and a bunch of rank slides and patches/pins/badges.
Czech'n my own devil
What are the gun laws in Mongolia? Also if you serve do you get to keep your uniform/gear/weapons or do you have to turn everything in?
The gun laws are pretty strict here. I don't see many, even in the capital. Some old dudes have shitty homemade or old Red Army rifles for shooting wolves in the country. It's hard to enforce rules outside of the populated areas.
Gotta return the gear, man, but again, it's a difficult rule to enforce when things are pretty disorganized. But like I said, you don't usually see it for sale.
The winter coats are sick, though. Really tough stuff.
I'll be in the next milsup thread, but for now I have to work.
Never seen the winter stuff, I'll have to look for some pics.
Anyway, thanks for the info Mongbro. See you later.
Pretty sure this is any easy one for you guys but I can't seem to find anything.
What is this and where can I get one?
I have bought milsurp before and I wear a medium long. Do these come in medium long?
There it is
Yours seems a little lighter. Any tags or stamps?
>I don't know much about Rhodesian but from what I'm reading a lot of those guys do not know what they are talking about.
If you don't know much about a subject and are still reading up, you're the one that doesn't know what he's talking about. So keep your comments to yourself.
They're about 6-9 bucks here, tanks being 5, summer ones being 6-7, winter ones usually being about 9. I found a diver one once for about 12 that I'm wearing right now. The postal service here is absurd and expensive, or else I'd ship a few out to you goons.
I wanted to attach an image of the veshmeshok I bought in the market today for about 8 bucks USD. It has a mysterious stain on it - looks like blood...or candy. /image limit.
