The stock is probably serialized somewhere under the barrel. For less-than-perfect guns (like the Mosin) matching serial numbers would guarantee a proper headspace so you don't have to worry about the gun blowing up. Other than that, it may add to the value, if it's otherwise a valuable gun.

My K31's bolt and magazine don't match but I give zero shits, it still shoots like a dream.

They're actually pretty comfy...fit kind tight around my calves but the material is nice and it's almost like a rough fleece inside. Been wearing them as PJs all evening, think they'll be great for when the real winter sits in and I wear them under my work pants
