They're fine mechanically. Finish isn't the best but it's not bad. Lots of fun to slamfire.

So long as you don't overpay for one I highly recommend them, along with their 1887 lever shotgun clone.

Browning expected a certain minimum intelligence of the user, so take care when stripping/cleaning.

I carried one in the 82nd Airborne back in the 1980s. Not kidding.

I only shot the issue one once in order to qualify for Division guard. It hit everything I aimed at and had zero malfunctions in 24 00 buck rounds.

It was a rattle bucket, however. Probably due to its age and extensive usage.

I have one. Lots of fun to play with.
Problems I've had:
>heat shield didn't fit properly. Had a gunsmith mill the collar down slightly. Fixed.
>bayonet comes loose and falls off when it's fired.
Other than that, it's a joy.
