I suck at dating milsurp edition
First for Leopard-Chan.
And then there was one...
Nobody has everything. Plus, how is he going to make fakes if he doesn't have the real thing. :^)
What type of Tiger Stripe is this Boonie hat supposed to be?
Looks like either LLS or Advisor's Type
Alright. Let's play nice. None of us know what type of Tiger Stripe that is.
Maybe because the answer is fucking blatantly incorrect?
Does that hat look like the same pattern as this?
Maybe because it's blatantly not John Wayne?
For fuck's sake. If someone posted asking about some Rhodie camo and you said it was fucking French lizard, and then they looked up French lizard and it was blatantly not French lizard, would you accept that answer?
Yes, actually it kind of does. It's similar since there are multiple varieties of John Wayne. A cursory google search would have led you to the appropriate version.
It's not the answer you want to hear which is why you're throwing a fit right now.
Which variant looks like it? I can't find any variants that looks more similar than the variants of Tiger Stripe I suggested it might be.
Also, I like how I apparently have a "shitty attitude," despite the first person replying to me telling me to fuck off and giving me a non-answer, the reply after saying "don't help this autist," as well as misinterpreting my intentions.
If I wanted a fucking gold advisor's type repro, I'd go and buy one. They're readily available. I'm trying to figure out what variant of tiger stripe the hat I posted is, and it's clearly not John Wayne in any variant. There are patterns that more closely resemble it, like pic related.
Why would people think I was looking for gold advisor's type when I specified different variants of tiger stripe, as well as the fact that the fucking hat is clearly not gold advisor's?
I've seen someone post about Tiger Stripe before, it was him last thread, but who really knows if it was him with the gold tiger stripe. If he asks again, without asking somewhere else, we know he's a troll.
You act exactly like the autist (aka you) asking about cheap gold tigers a month ago.
Back then you asked the same question in every thread and with the intention of wanting to hear what you already wanted to hear.
Guess what you're doing right now? The exact same shit with a boonie you can afford. You've already been told your answer, but you don't like it, so you're shitposting your question and getting defensive for no reason again.
So prove to us you're not a troll. Go on US militaria forum, and post your question and that picture, and let them decide whether or not you should get the answer you want.
Because non-anonymous forums are for suckers.
I'm not the person you're thinking of. I already know where to go if I wanted to get repro gold advisor's shit.
I've seen Tiger Stripe Products' version of John Wayne that a lot of people seem to copy. It has a different coloration and pattern style than the boonie I posted originally (Tiger Stripe Products' version seems to be more brush-strokey).
Pic related is Tiger Stripe Products' tiger stripe. It's fairly different in its pattern and coloration.
>Because non-anonymous forums are for suckers.
>It doesn't look like anyone here knows has the knowledge you're looking for on this specific niche.
aka nobody wants to tell me what i want to hear
Was it MooreMilitaria?
Again, for fuck's sake, I'm not the person who was asking about Gold Tiger Stripe shit. For fuck's sake.
>aka nobody wants to tell me what i want to hear
More like no-one here is familiar enough with Tiger Stripe variants to tell me. Saying that it's John Wayne variant over and over again makes you look ignorant.
Why not post a variant of John Wayne that you seem to think is the one it's supposed to be? Oh wait, you seem to think that it's a copy of Tiger Stripe Products' copy of John Wayne, when it blatantly isn't.
Pic related is a variant of John Wayne. Doesn't look very similar to the original boonie I posted, and neither did the other image of John Wayne I posted.
Maybe that non-anonymout forum would be a good thing for this sperg since the fact that an identifiable user with a name would have the record that he dared to make some kid unhappy permanently attached to his records would be an incentive for someone to give the baby what he wants at last.
>a cheap generic copy
Of what? What variant? That's what I want to fucking know. It clearly isn't John Wayne, and it isn't close to Tiger Stripe Products', Rothco's, Tru-Spec's, Propper's, etc.
Bud, you just admitted that no one here can answer your question. Just ignore the other guy (no matter if he's wrong or right) and look elsewhere for your answer.
Sometime things don't take after anything else and just exist on their own. If it was cheap and generic it would make sense that the manufacturer wouldn't bother to properly copy a variant of the pattern and just mash their own thing together.
Stop replying to such an obivous troll
>Because non-anonymous forums are for suckers.
After admitting that nobody here "knows" (aka won't tell him what he wants).
And just remember, this faggot is literally getting autistic over a $15 hat.
Probably good advice.
For everyone else, here's a comparison between the various manufacturers of Boonie hats and their various patterns. You can clearly see that the one on the far right is fairly different than the others. From left to right; Rothco, Propper (Asian Tiger Stripe), Propper (Tiger Stripe), Tru-Spec/Tiger Stripe Products, and finally R&B Dist.
The Rothco and Propper variants share a similar brush-stroke appearance the is similar to several variants as well as the vietnamese copies of French Lizard. The Tru-Spec/TSP's variant is fairly similar to a variant of John Wayne. The R&B Dist. variant has coloration and pattern similarities to variants of Advisor's and LLS.
Maybe because some faggot in the last thread blew me off and gave me a shitty answer, and everyone ended up bandwagoning on his answer, because they assume I'm some faggot who was asking about Gold Tiger Stripe a month ago? I thought that the milsuirpcamomilitaria thread, filled with camo-fags, would actually be able to identify what the pattern is supposed to be based on, instead of giving blatantly incorrect answers and stating that it's "the same as Tiger Stripe Products and Rothco's" variant of Tiger Stripe, when it clearly isn't.
But I'm the person that you replied to and I'm not the Rhodie guy. My name is Adam, and I like boonie hats and shit. I was the guy who was looking for a surplus M81 Boonie a few months ago and people weren't able to help me out. I found the company that actually makes them (R&B Dist.), ordered it for my father, and found that they also sell a Tiger Stripe Boonie. Being that I liked Tiger Stripe, and am fairly familiar with different variants, it looked very similar to certain ones (variants of Advisor's Type and LLS). I asked in the last thread, someone thought I was some poster from before who asked about Gold Tiger Stripe, gave me an answer (John Wayne) that was blatantly incorrect when the camo was compared, I argued with it, he insulted me, I'm here today asking about it. The same person replied apparently and people bandwagon'ed on his answer and his assumption that I was some faggot from a month ago who asked about Gold Tiger Stripe when that wasn't the case, and insulted me, stating that I apparently didn't want to accept the (false) reality of the situation, and that I was looking for only the answers that I already thought. This isn't the case -- it's simply that the hat doesn't resemble any variants of John Wayne, and so I found the answer unacceptable, and compounding with the insults and assumptions the poster made, I pretty much disregard their opinion because they're dismissing me.
Sold that Anuskiewicz jacket to a guy that worked in garden landscaping. He try pulling up my driveway with his van and trailer, when it proved to be too small for both he just parked in the street effectively blocking it for the duration of our transaction. When I opened the door he started telling me how he got to my place from where he worked. In detail he discussed what villages he passed.
Sold a bundeswehr jacket to some guy that had a blatant "88" in his email. So I guess he was a not-too-bright neonazi wannabe
Other than that it's mostly fishermen and /fa/ kids I sell to.
Who's trolling who anymore, I can't tell.
Not yet but I secretly hope really hard that some dictator/rebel leader/warlord/whatever shows up in a picture wearing a karst parka or one of my later BDU's so I can have my 15 minutes of fame standing accused of supplying terrorist groups.
>[baww] he insulted me
>people bandwagon'ed [calling you a faggot autismo]
>[baww] he insulted me
You're on 4chan. What the fuck did you expect?
>Posting your name on 4chan
Your entire post reeks of reddit tier newfaggotry.
Why don't you go back there and ask them, or did you already do that and they told you the same thing we did?
Officially, they're an "anti-terrorist" unit. In reality they're anti-everything neonazis. Most notably, gaybashing, womenhating, anti-semitic and basically anti-anything-not-east-ukraine. Not really warcrimes in the purest sense but they're far from saints and depending on the outcome of the conflict they'll be vilified/praised. Anyway having one of them running around in a karstparka will surely up the notoriety of the product.
Not to mention that their patches complement the karst colour scheme, imo.
>You're on 4chan. What the fuck did you expect?
I've posted in camo threads before and people weren't cunts.
>Your entire post reeks of reddit tier newfaggotry.
>Why don't you go back there and ask them, or did you already do that and they told you the same thing we did?
Fuck off, faggot. Why don't you go suck eggs?
To the ukraine-mobile!
I think I might have mentioned before, but post-parka I'm going to take a copy cut off the SADF nutria uniform jacket and trousers since they're nice and simple (buttons and drawstrings). The fabric out there is amazing.
>Actual TAZ90 (factory second, but still)
>If Arktis aren't bastards, dispersion pattern fabric
It's very exciting.
Where do you actually find all that fabric? I've toying with the idea of creating a raw denim denison smock (muh /fa/). But I find it hard to find a a supply of fabric at a competitive price.
Some german guy on ebay:
There's also a company in this country (UK) who have an outlet store on ebay..point north fabric I think they're called. They do solid colour ripstop (showerproof treated) and ballistic corda, things along those lines.
Yeah but jeez, the swiss beat out the germans for overengineering. Getting a pattern taken from it alone would be a pain (and the swiss are unlikely to have released it). Then think about the amount of material, there's probably 3-4M in there, god knows how many poppers. You know what's really expensive? Zips. Not to mention the manufactoring costs.
I agree it'd be awesome but I personally would only do it as a one off, and god it;d be a pain in the ass.
A damn good reason, even the fleck parka is too complex. I've removed some of the design elements because of this to try and simplify the design.
Oh you could do it alright, but it'd be high fashion prices.
A black/urban subdued one of those patches on Karst would be metal as fuck
Like I said, border war period SADF bdu's have the best combination of simplicity of contruction and quality of design (what with them being war tested and everything) so I personally think they're the best best for producing rare camo bdu's that aren't so expensive you'd be afraid to wear them, but aren't so badly designed you don;t want to wear them.
I was quoting what i'd consider to be the cost price. If you can sew it yourself that'd be great, but I wouldn't envy the amount of work. I wonder where the Swiss actually had them made.
This pleases me. Also I'd forgotten about CUEPAT. Could all the cadians please steal the pattern design for me.
Ha, would you look at that. A year collecting, six months making karst and I'm an expert on the making process. Rhodie eat your heart out.
How hard would it be to get a job as graphic design consultant in the AZOV PR department?
Ah I see. it should work quite well. Even though early karst was quite blue, that's been removed so it;s much closer to the original.
Wasn't my intention to leave my trip on in the first place.
I will neither confirm nor deny
im currently trying to buy lab raised piglets so i can bleed them and smear the blood on my friend while were high on psychedelics and murdering baby chicks in our mouths. some people like weird stuff
/d/, /int/ and /fa/ are the only other place I go.
And it's quality, done by Emil Supertramp.
Yeah you and me both...
In before NSFW ban, I've had like 20 of those over the years.
Girls in Alpenflage are quite beautiful.
>Not just tattooing your favorite pattern onto your skin so you can always wear it
$200. vest xl. helmet is medium. fer sale.
Och it's long gone, the pictures a year old sure.
Vtower just got in a shipment, now the two things that were dangerously low are much less low.
You need to show us some god damn pictures! You keep talking about all the stuff that has come in, but you don't show it off!
I just won the auction m8. I'll take pictures as stuff arrives but most of what I have coming is from Ukraine and Russia so itll be a while.
If it turns out I can get my hands on green dispersion I will be very happy indeed.
Got a rain camo hood/helmet cover and mutant gloves in today. The gloves are pretty nice but clumsy, the cover I think is just a helmet cover. My coat has buttons for a hood but there are no loops on the cover. It has a nice scrim net though.
Which garment is green dispersion? The one with the plants in it?
Did you get those from floydsboy? I got a whole bunch of Strichtarn from him about a year ago. The gloves need to be broken in, not worth it imo. The hood is comfy.
No, got them from some chick. Only $3 for the lot.
The gloves I think are just for keeping your hands warm, especially with the conjoined fingers. I don't see anyone operating an MPi with these on.
The hood is nice, now just need a M56 to put it on.
It does leave me questions on what the buttons on the inside of the collar are for on my coat. I know it's a summer jacket, maybe a different model hood?
Don't select a pattern based off of what the leaves on trees look like. You aren't swinging around the trees, so camouflaging for them will make you stick out. Most full grown trees don't even have branches at human height. You need to focus on camouflaging for the ground and the lower trunks of trees. It all depends on where you live. Go walk around where you are trying to camouflage into and look straight ahead, that's what you want to blend into.
Unless you're camouflaging for a desert, that's easy. Just go with pretty much anything with a tan base.
What camo is Zergface wearing? Looks like brushstroke in MARPAT color scheme
>planning on restoring (again) a Danish M48 helmet
>I fucked up the previous times
Help me decide what finish m8s
Still waiting on that last payment, I e-mailed the guy just now. If we get it all in tonight, I'll head to my bank first thing after class tomorrow and ask them about the secure foreign wire transfer.
Until then, I can only hope.
If it were me doing this, I'd drop that guy if he doesn't turn up by Friday night.
Dumbest question I heard today..
>Did the Czechs make Rain Camo chest rigs?
That's exactly what I was about to suggest. I can cover the change in shipping if need be. We can only wait so long for the guy.
I decided that I'll cover the wire fee, it should be peanuts and you guys already have enough to worry about.
The only other costs to worry about besides the actual items and shipping from Finland to here is the shipping from my place to everyone else's, but that shouldn't be too much since I'm an expert packer.
Plus it'll be a pay cycle or two before out order gets to America, so I'd think by then we'd be okay with covering the domestic shipping.
I'll keep you guys updated, but yes, sadly I think Friday is our absolute cutoff deadline.
Damn man, love that pattern. Great insignia too. My surplus store has a shirt with a black beret and chest rig but it's just for display.
Now I want pizza.
What is it?
Friends, if I should die, let this by mine legacy.
Vz. 95 is in there twice.
This is what true happiness looks like.
Curses! I knew something was amiss! The original image is 10640 x 9152 and 30MB, I couldn't open the last one in MS Paint because, well, it can't open huge images anymore and says they're "unsupported".
Basically I had to make it from scratch, and now my legacy is lots of surplus and not double-checking my work.
It still looks great.
Use GIMP to edit your photos, that's what I use. It's not as good as photoshop, but it's free.
USMC buddy is on his way back from Georgia soon... Can't wait to see whether he found me any tasty Soviet surp over there or not. Fuckin Corps is keeping him from being able to contact me.
Here guy. I said I'd do it a year ago. I finally did it. It only took about 5 mins lol
>tfw the only person that may have a lead on my grail patterns is Caramel Anus
Not using his true face.
The padding in the shoulders and elbows is so soft and comfy, I could easily fall asleep in this.
However, the zipper on the other hand might be one of the most insidious devices I've had the misfortune to fiddle with for a solid 15 minutes.
You think that's bad? I probably spent 20 minutes fastening all the buttons on this, and my fingers hurt like hell for the rest of the day.
Trade me something and I'll consider it. <3
Probably some PLA variant of DPM. Zergface is from a Chinese military drama called "Soldiers Sortie", I'm sure if you watched it you'll get a better idea of what was used.
Saw a guy on base wearing this, some junior officer at an international training course. He was surprised I recognized him as Jordanian and confused when I said I have a set of his camo until my friend (who forgot to salute him) confirmed it. Kind of a weird guy, talked really fast.
>imblying yours wasn't cut off
fite me sewfag
It's a hit-miss but about 95% of KA2 I've seen was velcro insignia.
When on international missions Middle Eastern countries just throw badges all over their uniforms, when they get back half the time they don't even keep their rank on.
>Tfw no clue when this is coming but t shirts from Bethesda are here tomorrow.
Why does shipping from Slav land take so long.
This last group member really needs to kick things into overdrive here. Aside from the transfer of funds from PayPal to my checking account taking about three days, any more time that we lose means more items go out of stock.
I am sorry to announce that the following items have sold out as of this evening:
Finnish M/65 Wool Pants (8 50)
I say just go to your bank tomorrow to do the transfer. If they have paid by then, awesome, if they haven't, then they waited too long. I don't want this one guy to fuck the rest of us over just because he can't get things together.
I'm outty for the night. Hopefully nothing else runs dry while we wait.
Anon, you've been asigned to outfit a brigade of /k/ommandos in some cool camo, good looks take priority over actual effectiveness but no points will be awarded for pic related.
What do you choose
2 questions for you fine Gentlemen
1: what's the best camo to use for Pacific Northwest. Like Washington and Oregon. Specifically none planes area.
2: where can I get some Italian Military Fatigues because, and don't know why, I have a hard on for their camopat.
Sketchy doesn't even begin to describe some of these people.
I sat here this morning as I opened up and started to wonder why so many people ask me to do illegal sales and to violate the terms of my lease.
I tell them over and over again that I won't do it and yet some of them come back over and over again asking the same question.
They are like 4 year old's that figure if they ask for a piece of candy 200 times Mom or Dad will finally crack.
I have yet to see one for sale.
I get people who want me to sell them items without tax even though they do not represent an entity that is tax exempt.
Then there are the Stolen Valor assholes that don't realize I'm a service member and can see through their bullshit. I will not help you commit fraud. End of story.
Out of state people who want me to sell them firearms or firearm accessories that are illegal in their state. Hey if you don't tell me where you are from, there is no reason for me not to sell you a 30rd magazine. If you come in here and tell me how much things are better in New York or the People's Republic of Jersey/Maryland,, well guess what I now know that you can't have that item in your state and I won't sell it to you.
And of course yes the ghetto dewellers that always want to know: "Id da po-lice hab a problem wit me wearin' dis?"
I got that email also, only it was completely in Finnish.
>flags on parka in image
>flag ripped off when I get it
Why you no respond yesterday? I found a Swiss greatcoat at goodwill yesterday. Size 50 dated 1983.
I don't need that shit in my life. I somewhat want to run a respectable business.
lol.. So many people get their jimmies in a knot over the fact that the fast food at a gas station is taxed.
You guys may be the next V-Tower hosts stateside. See if they actually advertise on 4chan... Actually wait.. scratch that.. the new owner is a con man.
Quite a common thing that.
Gorkas came today! Will report back with pics later.
Shit. That's a great price. It goes without saying, if you're there again and so is it buy it without asking me. I'll for sure take that off your hands.
That's likely your best bet. The most common Polish stuff is the Pantera, and even that isn't all that common.
Pic related is the rip strop variant of Wz93
Doesn't matter, keywords are:
Metro (or plamiak).
Oh yes,and Gepard.
I'm wearing the woodland Wz93 in that pic. Though I've been looking for the rip-stop desert Pantera pants in s-long.
Polish fleck has an urban-grey, a blue, and a green pattern variant
There's a desert variant too, but I don;t know what it's called.
Not as great as mine. And what, with a weak europe and cheap postage...
We will see.. Rare fleck has been a grail for a while. The trouble is finding it in burgerland with a weak dollar. Pic unrelated.
Not yet, I'm still waiting on these bastarding zips that are holding up the whole project. I'm posting everything for a sample to see what the quality is like. It's likely I'll post the rest of the materials as well, and see about the best way to get the finished parkas back. They'll be much easier to transport and I'm worried I'll get hit with VAT or import tax..or both!
You might be right, I don;t actually know how it works.
It's less likely I'll go though, ironically because it's cheaper than I thought it would be. My original thinking was I'll need two months of pay to afford the manufacturing cost, which would leave me some left over for the trip, but as it will hopefully turn out I'll only need one month, but it'll leave me nothing left over.
This was $40. Now I have 6 shitty Italian patterns and a nice one.
>Tfw just got back from recruiter probably joining reserves this year.
In other news mailman said he'd be back later with some packages. Better be my MTP or TTSKO.
Already was planning on going in but right now there's an opening for arty gunners and I'm jobless after next week. So why not right? Free CADPAT and money for doing BMQ on weekend n shit.
I make rounds at local surplus stores and whenever I'm in a new place I go to stores there as well. I almost bought a MVD urban vest yesterday but the owner wanted too much for it and I got a Type III blouse for $10 instead.
I'm a ginger. Would you expect anything but pasty white? I'm also long past my mid 20's.
Still haven't had pizza...
How is the construction? I heard they were mass produced and pretty bad. I really like the pattern though.
They are fun to wear, when they fit. Otherwise enjoy crushing your balls.
Hey guys, I got some furry milsurp. Got it for 15 bucks. Is that a good deal?
Lee Enfield Bayonet, 1917
K31 Bayonet, Unmarked
Shitty Taiwan Knife
I'll make a new one as soon as this hits page ten.
Pic unrelated, unless let downs are related.
Talked him down from $80 to something reasonable.. like $50
Well, shit lips likes to tease Polish Camo whenever I bring it up.. Though, I'm sure shit lips would actually deliver.
He's now thinking of buying one off of Flandre.. That or hiding his pro-russian Ukie rebel flag from a girl he wants to bang
I purchased it in M/S, I'm 178cm in height. But yeah, not 300lbs, im 70kg
If anyone else owns a jigsaw parka, what size are you using and what are your measurements?
This one is in very good condition aside from the missing center strap.
I got mine from Sportsman's Guide, the tag just says S/S.
Chest is like a US Small, fits me good but the length is like a US Extra Short, sleeves are way too short.
I'm around 180/94cm height/chest
Does anyone know who used this thing?
All I can figure out is that it's some sort of commonwealth based uniform due to the waist tightening straps and buckles on the pants.
I bought it in an auction that included 2 82nd Airborne Division OG-107's, both of which are around medium size from what I can tell.
Tags on both pants and jacket look to be synthetic. The loop shown is synthetic as well.
Back of collar on jacket
Buttons on the jacket are brown while the ones on the pants are more olive.
Here's the OG 107's that came with it.
This one was worn.
The other is starched. Both are the same medium size.
That one is starched.
