So I explored an abandoned missile silo on my week trip to Denver.

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

So I explored an abandoned missile silo on my week trip to Denver. Which one of you faggots did this? I can dump the rest if you like.

To keep this weapons related, which weapon would you prefer for STALKER-esque room clearing? I almost brought my PPS-43C in 9mm.
>>
Please don't tell me you added to all of that
>>
>>23885247
Of course not. No tagging or stealing when urbexing.
>>
>>23885206
I'd like to see the rest if you're still here, OP.

UE shit is awesome, and missile silo so /k/ related.
>>
>>23885206

Location?

I figured all of the silos in the states had been destroyed for the START treaty or were turned into private homes.
>>
>>23885252
Ok cool. You're alright nuqqa

It's frustrating when places like that get shut down due to faggots vandalizing everything.

Not anyone I know from the meetups in /k/olorado.

I would bring my glocknade because its the only pistol I have
>>
>>23885206
And if I knew it to be unlikely to run into shit, I'd take my Walther P99. Always a good idea to have the gun you're most familiar with in 2spooky situations where panic's a possibility.
>>
>>23885271
Not OP but its one of the silos east of denver. There are a couple titan complexes (real fucking spooky). IIRC a couple got destroyed via start and a couple more are in private hands. One of which the owner doesnt know what the fuck to do with so its full of this kind of shit. I really wish he would just give me the complex so I can start fixing it up
>>
It was 10/10 bretty spooky. I went down alone which was stupid in hindsight. All of the lower levels were flooded.

No thank you.

Dont know what it is, but I especially dont like water inside of places it shouldnt be. Like when the streets of NY were flooded after Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy or whatever the fuck it was, I got to thinking about all the submerged subway tunnels and that shit really just rustles my jimmies. Or flooded mines.

No, I almost brought my PPS-43C but I heard Johnny Law gets called a lot on urbexers so I decided against it. With how many bullet casings were down there I should've taken it anyway. I also underestimated how spooky it would be down there, but would definitely go again.

I'd fucking love to get into urbex but

1. This sounds like one of those activities where a battle-buddy is pretty much necessary for safety reasons and I hate doing shit like that with other people

2. It's completely region-dependent. It seems like unless you live near an abandoned missile silo or rust-belt factories your're pretty SOL.

I'd love to do that kind of stuff but with my various government licenses I can't risk it. Trespassing on federal property just isn't in my cards. When I was a kid I always got caught by *the* dickhead officer that would handcuff me and all that shit for pranks and trespassing rather than scare me off like what always happened to my friends. That luck would probably continue.

And it definitely seems like a bad idea to carry a firearm while doing all this

There are some good stalking locations in colorado
>be cheeki breeking thru a small river valley with a friend
>out of nowhere
>massive 1/2 destroyed dam made from individual 3'x3'x3' stone cubes
>stick head in only visible access which was a tunnel big enough to crawl on all 4's
>not worried because im in a level 4 vest and have a 600 lumen flash light
>get about 100ft in
>hear a long moaning sound
>hear dirt moving
>start backing out as quick as possible
We noped out of the valley because the sun was setting and it was snow on the ground, i was not too keen on spending a night in the spooky fucking dam. Especially since I only had about 5 hours worth of batteries

make it a phone ringing, like an old school phone, but make it only ring 1 time and not reset for like a few weeks

so you're just exploring this abandoned missile shelter and you here 1 ring from a phone, then you freeze, then look at your buddy and ask if he heard that and he says i think so, then you have to wonder if you just actually heard a phone ring or not, which makes you wonder if someone else is down there, and on and on....

Someone needs to start leaving "artifacts" around popular urbex sites. I bet you could do wonders with a 3d printer, some hot glue or clear epoxy, and a few tritium tubes.

Fuck, that'd make for an awesome S.T.A.L.K.E.R. scavenger hunt. Set it up for your /k/omrades, or just leave it there. Just imagine some normie coming across pic related or something similarly trippy and bizarre.

>all these people thinking that titans are spooky
Let me introduce you to :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X455wiHCCac
Aerodrom Zeljava, also known as "Klek".
>Yugoslavian underground airbase
>Cost 6 billion in 1968 money to make
>designed to survive a direct hit from a nuke
>one of the largest in europe
>Radar and Command network for all of yougoslavia
>Held two full fighter squadrons underground
>3.5km of tunnels
>100tn blast doors
>designed to house 1000 people

>used by JNA during civil war
>JNA were falling back under nato pressure
>set off 56 tons of HE to blow up base
>front doors and upper levels are destroyed
>lower levels are yet unexplored because (according to local assets in area) nobody has climbing gear and some people think lower level is home to ghosts/chemical weapons

So /k/ are you hard enough to fly to croatia and explore it? Local assets report no security around base
Oh did I mention
>UXO ranging from plane bombs to artillery shells all over the top of it and in surrounding fields
>surrounded by a massive mine field (using cutting age 90's yugo mines that contain no metal)

Field trip when?

Tritium is slightly radioactive, and glows for a decade or two. If anyone actually checked it out up-close with a geiger counter, they'd pick up a little bit of radiation. A good, high-res 3d printer could do all kinds of trippy alien shapes. You glue the tubes to the inside where they can't be seen, then fill it in with epoxy. You now have a hard-to-destroy/disassemble item, bizarrely alien, glowing, slightly radioactive, with transparent sections.

Fuck, I wonder if you could even get something that's radioactive enough to pick it up with a geiger counter from 20 feet or so away? That'd be amazing for an artifact hunt. Or put a little radio tracker inside, the ones that beep every minute or so, and last for years, so you can find it with a detector.

I need to do this, /k/. I need to.

>>23886937
I need to get some SCBA for exploring the tunnels underneath an abandoned airbase near here that was turned into a town airport. Problem is, all the entrances I know of are in fairly public areas.

>>
>>23886995
I would seriously do it if I had the money. But I'm creaming my pants at the potential right now. I should go post it on the general in /vg/.

If I were to do a kickstarter so I can get the funds to buy the tritium and a small 3d printer + plastic, would anyone actually donate? I'd send artifacts as backer rewards.

I can't stop thinking about amazing ways you could do this. What if you had a little sensor inside to detect movement, and it would make some sort of sound when you flipped it the right way? You could make little puzzlebox-type things with these.

Tritium itself does not glow and is rather expensive. The beta particles it emits cause phosphorus to glow. Any beta emitter will cause phosphorus to glow but tritium is used because its rather "Safe" as far as nuclear goes. H3 is one of the most expensive elements in the world because it is one of the lightest.
>>23886995
Its a beta emitter and a safe one at that (to glow it must be sealed in a tube). Unless you eat the gas you wont get sick or even die. It cannot penetrate the dead layers of skin on your body.

rocket fuel can be some seriously poisonous shit depending on what it is, tear gas can corrode and leak, hydraulic fluid, especially the kind used in aviation can be extremely poisonious and corrosive, furher all this shit mixing with water and other random chems can make a deadly stew that could kill you without directly inhaling it

My bad. I was just thinking of the vials that you can order online. The tubes have lifetimes of years though, so it'd last for a while.
>>
>>23887120
The tubes actually last longer than the half life of tritium but its a half life so it will just be 1/2 as bright in 12.32 years
>>
>>23887092

This would also fuck with any rope/harness gear your bringing to get in/out of places without stairs, most softgoods are terrible around chemical fumes.
