Obviously you've never worked amongst idiots and power tools. At my work we had a contractor using a recip saw to cut a piece of tubing and the blade got pinched. This dumbass grabbed the blade with his bare hand (without unplugging the saw) and accidentally pulled the trigger while trying to free the blade. Absolutely mangled his hand.

Was working on a table saw the other day pushing a cedar plank through. The push stick I was using was in the shape of a saw handle. So, it's vaguely pistol-grip shaped. I had TD on it.
