I've also heard people say that they have a holier-than-thou attitude, and while I can understand that, CiLR shows that despite coming from a society as ruthless as the moon, they can't bring themselves to harm anyone. Even SSiB shows how easily they're able to empathize with others with how they treat Reisen.

Speaking of CiLR, is the translation on the wiki accurate with how it characterizes people's speech patterns? I'm confused as to whether Toyohime's remark that Reisen's vernacular is very childish is meant to show that what we consider sophisticated is deemed rudimentary on the moon, or if the translators just didn't do a good job at giving people different voices.

To be fair, in SSiB, they are the one being invaded. If someone broke into your house, you would freak out a bit.
Plus, they kinda have a reason to be arrogant, they are pretty much all gods (to keep it simple, through of course the two guards that Toyohime talks to in SSiB aren't really gods).

The fact of the matter is, many humans from the outside that have been spirited away may die, but there are also humans who eventually fit in at the Human Village. Besides, although the Youkai see humans as below them, that doesn't necessarily mean that they can't respect particular humans. The reason I dislike the Lunarians is because of their disdain for all creatures aside from those from the moon, when in fact they originated from the Earth themselves.
