I too bought PNs first, they're cute and all but their current bodies don't really offer much to posing, you might be disappointed. I'd rather wait until new PN series with their new (whatever it's called, new full flection? or something) bodies are announced, or just buy the doll and the body both and swap.
Btw, azone just throws their new releases on the market and that's it, you either have to manage to snag a preorder (and it can be hellish for the cutest popular models, like that black kitty Rise recently) or scour mandy/other usual places.
And then you can't find the doll you want, and you buy a different one, and then the one you'd wanted in the first place shows up a week later at like half the price.

I saw a doll around these boards a few years ago and I saved her image. However I deleted it last year because I wanted to save just the major/good moments from my life and it felt weird keeping it.

The only thing I really use frequently is a tangle teezer/detangler and a small spray bottle of water + fabric softener to keep the hair nice. Outside of that it's just benzoyl peroxide 10% facial wash when I get stains and eye putty when I change eyes. Upkeep is inexpensive.

- oxy10 pimple cream (you can use Target or Walmart store brand)
- magic eraser (just be careful using that around painted areas)
Eye putty:
- clear moldable silicone ear plugs - this stuff is easier to come by
Maint/other:
- wig cap
- tooth brush for brushing hair

Optional:
- wig spray or bottle of fabric softener with water
- body suit (really depends what you plan to dress her in)
- hand sanitizer (if you plan on taking her out)
- gloves (if your palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. There's vomit on your sweater already, mom's spaghetti)

best way to safeguard yourself for Paypal seller protection is when you're packaging your item up, take LOTS of photos every step of the way with your username and the date visible in the photo. Item being wrapped up, item being put in the box, box being taped up, address label on the box, receipts from postal service, all of that. I do have to say this about Choo, I feel more connected on a social media level with the Smart doll brand then Dollfie Dream. Volks feels a lot like early 2000 Games Workshop.

Also, 43 ...inches? I'm going to assume these are airline guidelines. I've traveled with tripod cases smaller than that and have had issues. Be prepared to fiddle with it a lot or have it placed in an overhead compartment elsewhere else in the cabin. It's a clumsy size so don't be upset if you have to check it.

In my personal experience, I built my DDdy buying separate parts because I had a bust already, and to this day her legs don't stay on properly, at all. It's probably a fixable problem but I really wish I'd just bought a base body at basically the same price so it'd be pre-assembled and I wouldn't have to deal with this kind of thing.

Do you have good sources of lighting?

I tend to take photos of my doll closer up so their eyes are visible. Far shots don't look as nice and people say they look creepy because it looks like they're missing eyes or too much pupil and little iris is visible.

Best advice I can give is take a look at portraiture guides and examples online. Having your doll interact with props or the environment will make it a lot easier.

I was looking forward to new bodies, but what I've seen so far is not very convincing. Knees are now just as bad as on the 1/3 scale dolls. Wonky elbows, inelegant pelvis/torso articulation and legs/waist also seem thinner.

I think I'll also change over to the new obitsu 24 body. They've really stepped up their game and even done additional improvements before release.

I don't know much about pure neemo, but when I got my girl the new 24cm obitsu body, I needed to get some ~30mm interior shoes as well. They're not too loose or tight with socks, but would probably wiggle without.

The only thing that bothers me is how the hands are connected, coupled with the softer material. Feels like they'll rip if I try to swap. Wish they just came with extra pegs already on the extra hands.

They have softer bust parts and head-caps and those are very prone to staining, but the rest of the body isn't much better either.
I've put on an outfit I've had on one of my DD for weeks and by the end of the day I decided to change it again and it was stained all over. I had to do emergency damage control and still couldn't remove everything. That happened the same day I got the Smart Doll so I was beyond disappointed. Now I'm keeping it as a reminder to never stray.

Posability is really nice, pretty easy compared to the Volks, and it was real easy to disassemble/reassemble her and change her bust out. The stand is pretty nice, too. However, she might just be less stiff because she's not fresh out of the box.
Looks like she's closer to Volks normal than semi-white, in the end. Did some fabric tests and she's fine, and combined with the outfit being lined with white (and I'm just going to nab the freckled SmD when she's out...), I'll take my chances.
Face is F L A T, though. Flat as the bust I got. Once I get a better SmD I might give her (barring bust) to my other roommate, who is interested in getting into doll face ups.
Unfortunately, the doll was used and has some light stains, as she was likely dressed in the same black clothes she came with, so I'll be picking up some means of vinyl cleaning.

All in all, worth what I paid, which was a lot less than all of this from Smart Doll proper.

I couldn't get the best comparison shots, and will probably get some better shots once lighting is better while I'm posing her in some less chuuni poses.

I've never used an actual doll carry case for air travel. They're kind of inconvenient for it really and remember that she's going to go in the overhead bin with everyone else's larger luggage. That's an old wives' tale. Vinegar can set dyes in very specific scenarios, but definitely not just on any old piece of fabric you pick up.

The only thing you're doing is washing some of the excess dye out, which can be done just the same with water. If you choose to do it though, be aware that you might make the colours look less deep, and it's possible you could cause some discolouration, like on the white parts. If those things happen they'll probably be negligible, but use your own judgement I guess.

Most people recommend using lots of water for just one piece of doll clothing to avoid unwanted dye transfer.

Do you read moon? If not, here's a good basic guide: http://www.eternalwinter.org/blog/dollfie-dream/painting-dollfie-dreams/
they use pastels, but most people use acrylics (very diluted, and paint in many layers), pick depending on what kind of look you want to achieve.
(If you read nip, there are tons of guides for DDs, just google around, there are even some guides in magazines like Dollybird and what not).
Use heads up for sale on Y!J for inspiration, they usually have many photos from different angles.
Btw, are you planning on getting a DDH-01? If so, then you'll also likely need to modify its eyes/mouth.
