Why is there a bicycle parked right in the middle of the street on a pedestrian crossing no less?
>>
>>17289824
Because cyclists are inconsiderate law breakers 99% of the time (not even exaggerating).

Car drivers can be pretty bad too tough. Just stick the hazard lights on and everywhere is a short term parking space.
>>
>>17288011
>>17287970

Please do not bring your stupid non-/jp/ memes to /jp/, thank you.
The Japanese actually are rather friendly towards Indians as there has been quite a bit of trade between those countries, and a lot of historical cultural exchange as well. They are also not seen as economic or cultural imperialists like whites often are, even though most of them are there for technology-related work that a Japanese might have been able to do instead. They are wary of Pakistanis though, as most of them only know about that country from reports of terrorism.
>>

You can believe what you want to, but, as I said, please keep that sort of trash on other boards. This is not /int/.

A fifth of people in Japan commute by bike. They aren't "bikers", they're just normal fucking people on their daily commute.

>>17290610

>>

>>

>>17290093
Actually there's a pretty well-established Indian community in Kansai of a bunch of importers and jewelers and stuff. They have several temples and organizations and have been there since the Meiji era. And since the 80s a lot of IT guys who worked for Japanese companies in have been moving to Tokyo from India. They have a pretty generous visa agreement for that purpose. I don't know if they're really friendly to Indians but I can't imagine there would be much trouble.
>>
>>17290668
What? People who cycle = cyclists. And regardless of what their purpose is, the vast vast majority of them do not follow the law, including even the police.

>>
>>17291024
You sound oddly militant. 'Cyclist' is not a particularly heavy term, nor does it indicate a profession or way of life. It is simply someone who travels by bicycle.

Here are some relevant articles:
http://www.japantimes.co.jp/tag/cyclists/
>>
>>17291024
"Bikers" and "cyclists" don't have to have the same connotation everywhere. Bikers are often asses in the US, sure, but in Asia it's common and nobody sees any issue with it. That doesn't make them not bikers. It just means bikers over there are different from bikers over here. What's your issue?

But 7-11 objectively has the best bentos, therefore making it the best conbini.

Ministop has the best hot food.

Lawson and Family Mart are for when you can't find either of those two.

And Yamazaki is just plain shit.

I go to a random store, pick up a random 500 yen product and take it to cashier. He will say「500円になります」. I will pick up the 500 yen he turned into and put the product back. I now have 1000 yen. After that, I go to one of the two remaining stores and pick up 1000 yen worth of products and take them to the cashier. He will say 「1000円になります」, I pick up that 1000 yen and put the products back. I now have 2000 yen. I then go to the last remaining store and buy 2000 yen worth of Nerunerunerune.

It's actually fine if you have a real job and don't go there to be an indentured English teacher. Preferably you get transferred there by the company you already work for. The corporate culture is pretty fucky but when you have actual value and the company wants you for that rather than your seniority you pretty much can do whatever you want within reason and then quit and move back to the west when you get tired of being a foreigner in a country where even returning emigrants have trouble fitting in.

Sunkus had the best cheese tarts, the sole purpose of their existence. But now if you can actually find a Sunkus the cheese tarts are just replaced with crap from Famima since they got bought out. Sucks. At least at my Sunkus though, the hot food was left out so long it became so hard it was inedible. Now it turned into a Famima and despite the staff being exactly the same, the hot food never has any problems anymore. God bless Famichiki.

It's the first time in Japan. I was in Lawson, 7-11, Seico Mart, Family Mart and sun kus.

There's a Konbini at every corner, even same konbinis next to each other. Plus vending machines I wish Germany had these too.

My daily routines is
-buy a drink from a vending machine
-get a snack for breakfast and another drink from a konbini
-buy a drink from a vending machine
-eat something nice
-buy a drink from a vending machine
-maybe buy something sweet

>scour every supermarket for plain vanilla pudding with caramel sauce, the most basic type of pudding
>it's fucking nowhere
>one brand has a near-monopoly on pudding, and it's all disgusting

Are you trying to make wet caramel (cook with added water and then boil it off) or dry caramel (directly browning the sugar in the pan)? Try both, dry caramel can be more difficult but it certainly isn't impossible. I've made both a few times, it just takes a bit of practice.

I'm guessing you mean Mona? They actually had a creme brulee variant for a while, which despite the name used soft caramel, so in reality it was just a big creme caramel. That one tasted pretty good, a shame it was a limited edition.
